Lax
Hours of meticulous filing and I still haven't remove the paint on the SD slide XD
RacingManiac
That should've been anodized before, so it' probably easier to remove it chemically than try to sand it off....(mind you it still needs sanding after...) Lax
That's what I've been thinking all yesterday ^^ That's why I concentrated on the frame, I'll try a made for product to "wash" the slide Thanks ! And your hybrid is just overkill XD The most beautiful pistol I've ever seen !

Lewis_Hodgson
That's what I've been thinking all yesterday ^^ That's why I concentrated on the frame, I'll try a made for product to "wash" the slide Thanks ! And your hybrid is just overkill XD The most beautiful pistol I've ever seen ! Â Stop! Keep it exactly as it is...that is the most awesome looking slide I have seen in a while..moar pics! Optomis
How about bead blasting the slide Lax? That would easily rip the paint right off and would leave a nice, even and un-scratched up finish.
Lax
Stop! Keep it exactly as it is...that is the most awesome looking slide I have seen in a while..moar pics! lol That is maybe too much of a compliment, set aside awesomeness of vicious and racer 2011 The current edged look on the slide is actually original on pics, but from a close view, it really looks like tired paint, and I want some bling bling finish ^^ So unfortunately, I'll take some more pics, then end the polishing work ! Â @Optomis : That's currently a technical issue, I only have sand paper, I can have access to chemicals made for removing paint from aluminium, and that's all :s Without forgeting the miror for making it so shiney that my eyes will hurt XD Hope it will protect a little the nude parts from rust etc... Â Thanks all for your support and opinion, the 2011 club have always been my favorite ^^ Â By the way, this week-end I'll have for another pistol a magwell, a guarder thumb kit, a limcat compensated slide and barrel, a tanio koba barrel, a ROC holster, etc... I just miss a frigging cool 30mm ring "one sided" like the 88$ G&P one, I would like to find cheaper :s
the4thpower3
Man, so many new poeple getting into 2011's. I love it! Â I haven't posted anything for a while because I've been saving up loot for my custom 2011. Â It's getting much closer to being done, so I figured I'd post up a teaser pic. PMMJKL
Custom 6 inch slide and frame!? It looks beastly I must see the finished product asap!
Lax
A beast !!! I like the massive side of WA with square frame and frame ^^ Â Received my hicapa, now I wait for the 4 other parcels to throw away everything except the frame and internals ^^
the4thpower3
It'll still be a while before it's done. Still lots of little things to work out. Â "I like the massive side of WA with square frame and frame ^^" Â I do too, that's why I had the frame custom made - for Tokyo Marui! Â It's actually a 303 stainless custom frame. Along with 6061 custom aluminum slide and comp. Everything else is/will be custom stainless steel as well. Â Â
Lax
I finally got rid of the infamous plastic for the stage one in "making an hicapa less ugly". It's just stage one because it'll be an open classe one, only first order received ^^!
the4thpower3
Nice start on the open gun Lax. Â I still love Limcats.
Bareknuckle
I have a question for a good friend of mine. He's a big Heroes fan and he wants to make an airsoft replica of the 2011s used by the company. Â Specifically, this one: Â http://sviguns.com/ph/?indx=134 Â I know you can't get one stock like that, but do the parts exist in airsoft to make one? I can't seem to find the right stuff. Lax
Arg this page is killing me since maniac posted it, it's a heartbreaker ! (and bank account too) Â @4thpower : Thanks for your compliment, it's a pleasure to receive, since you have great experience and did great pistols ^^ Â By the way, I am asking myself if I need to file the frame to apply the shiny chemical, if so I think I'll find a way to make it sand it, it would be too hard with paper. midnight_sailor
just added an SAS front to my hi capa, hoping to get an m3 and a silencer soon... Â
Romulus
I love those Hi-Capa Hogues. Â Nice gun.
RacingManiac
how did that Hogue grip fit onto the gun? Â That looks very nice...
midnight_sailor
I started off with a p14 model, and did a lot of grinding on both the hogue and the pistol grip to get it to fit right. Took awhile to get it to fit right but it was worth it, as you can see.
Apache137
love the grip... was it anything extraordinary? or can any old schmo do it? me being the schmo? lol
