ancorp
Hey ancorp, how good is that new Kalash? I just want opinions before I order a AK105 Rock solid! Love it. Have yet to field it, will do as soon as possible.

bloodybiscuit
Ancorp, would you say that the RK is better than the cyma .048? I can decide between the two...
ancorp
Definitely. The Cyma is a mix of VFC and Inokatsu, and only partially steel. The Dboys is full steel, all VFC pinned construction, rock damn solid. I don't know what kind of internals the Cyma has, but if its anything like their AKM or AKS-74U, the CM035 and 36, then it has 6mm metal bushings and clear plastic spring guide. The Dboys has a bearing spring guide, steel bearing bushings, and bearing piston head out of the box. And the Cyma pistol grip is CA clone, while the Dboys is a more comfortable VFC shaped one. ComradeMP1
Are you planning to make it airsoft (and with a regular TM compatible gearbox, or a realsword one?) or building a live firearm? Yeah, TM compatible gearbox, using a modified inner barrel and hop up unit.
gunaholic336
Here is a pic of my AK-74 and it little partner in crime.

bloodybiscuit
ancorp, does the folding stock wobble? I had the VFC and the wobble was killing me.
Clot
I have the VFC one, quite easy to fix the wobble ye kno. The same happens with Kalash/Dboy ones too Again easy to fix. Jus take gearbox out and bend the lug back a wee bit.
ancorp
current cyma internals are generally than Dboys, metal bushings, metal spring guide, steel gears (although thats standard among clones) tightbore, good motor etc As I said, the steel Dboys also have better internals then the non steel versions, thus steel bearing bushings (7mm or so), steel gears, metal spring guide with bearings (could be steel). The Cyma CM036 AKM motor is quite impressive though. The stock is rock solid, no movement what so ever in any direction. Just like my buddy's Dboys steel AKSU.
BoE.Solidius
Would any of you guys recommend SRC AKs? I thought about getting that AKSU PMC looking varient from SRC. Trusted brand?
PlasticMag
HAHAHAHA. No.
my_plague_666
As I said, the steel Dboys also have better internals then the non steel versions cyma used those internals back in the CM028/031 days, but everything since then, including the pot metal ones, have been fitted with the parts i listed stock. Forze
cyma CM048M -solid as hell -filed off airvents in the handguard -had it downgraded & systema precision barrel installed shoots 348-350fps perfectly, tested with 67 shots. also worth to mention: excellent service from taiwangun: the downgrade & installation of the precision barrel was free of charge (only had to pay for the parts: spring, barrel & hop rubber) this shop will be my favorite one for years to come (thanks to Mike West ) Edited March 4, 2009 by Forze
midnight_sailor
if that wood is stock cyma wood, then that's the best wood I've ever seen come stock on a clone ak
bloodybiscuit
^^ thats what i was talking about... Forze, how does it shoot? is it sturdy. Im a second away form buying it...
FriendlyFire!
Yep that is stock for the new AKM model CM048M
Forze
yep wood is stock, it shoots like a charm (but it is a downgraded gearbox (330fps) icw a systema 6.04 barrel due to local field limits (350fps)). My only little gripes are: -stock wobble (fixed with tape) -the handguard is without the vents (easily fixed by filing ) best cheap AKM ever (yeah i know the VFC is better looking & has (most of the time ) better quality but i need a skirmish gun, not a wallhanger)
The Crunchy Bunny
God Damnit. I should have waited for the CM048....... Way to go Forze.
Gatorlangman
Well guys since I couldnt find a AKM with a drum mag in this thread I figured I'd post mine: After the worn look:
Bersy
Very nice akm there Forze, did you restain the wood or does it come like that? tempted to buy a Cyma CM048M!
bombermonk
Comes like that
my_plague_666
-the handguard is without the vents (easily fixed by filing ) must be the older version, straight after release they revised the handguards to proper AKM style.
