Tommygunn
Is that real steel as everything looks a little too well refined to be airsoft? Edited October 12, 2006 by Tommygunn
Sunday8PM
Is that real steel as everything looks a little too well refined to be airsoft? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Look at the mag plate, it's airsoft. Â Edit- At a second thought, I'm unsure. Edited October 12, 2006 by Sunday8PM
Tommygunn
Trigger - self made from the original or short pull version? Black slide pin? Well defined trigger screw and slight perceived colour difference? More pronounced dome on the take down lever rivet? Black extractor(no biggy) but the plunger? Â Very interesting piece and certainly looks the business. Edited October 12, 2006 by Tommygunn
1cem4n
does anybody have a definite guide to installing those lovely hogue grips besides "use a dremel"? I will give out +1s to anybody who does. And when you can't buy a Guarder P226 Kit from Airsoft Extreme anymore, that's probably me on my 3rd one (So many manufacturering defects). I installed my first one and then i realized the slide was cracked down the middle. The second one had no threads on the leftside(where you screw in the grips), and now I'm on the third one (Wish me luck). I can install it all by myself but it's such a pain to keep going back and getting a new one.

formvb
After the b&w pics, some color now : Â Â Â TM P226 + PGC kits + Hogue grips (not dremeled : I modified the part that receives the hammer spring) + combat trigger (not the real one, that can't be modified to fit, but a modified standard TM trigger) + Guarder Enhanced Valve Blocker + Guarder Enhanced Loading Muzzle + Guarder Enhanced Piston Lid + Firefly Rocket Valve + Guarder Steel Recoil Spring Guide + PROUD Enhanced Recoil Spring + PROUD Enhanced Hammer Spring + PDI 6.05 Inner Barrel + some cosmetics modifications. 930g on the scale. Â The result is quite satisfaying. But, I still have some work to do... Â
Tommygunn
Fantastic! Please provide more info on the colour differences of the slide pin(in grab serrations) and what appears to be a real screw for the trigger albeit a different colour. How did you achieve this? How did you achieve this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â For the slide pin, it's just paint with a mix of black pigments, varnish and aceton. It really looks like black iron. If you don't want to paint, just drill a hole and put a real black iron pin. Â The screw is a real screw I modified to fit the hole I drilled. Â For the different color changes, I use chimical treatments after removing the anodization.
fal
I dig the two tone theme and none railed frame!! That looks beautiful formvb. Hogue grip goes quite nicely with that. Â Geez pistols thesedays. Bloody rails are everywhere. Â BTW. Is PGC Slide a machined CNC aluminium? or casted? I would expect some CNC machined aircraft grade aluminium for that price though. Â thanks.

1cem4n
i know i'm going to regret getting the guarder one after seeing all these PGC kits. Anybody know if i should just stuck with using a dremel and a cloth pad to polish or should i use something else?
FELDJAGER
formvb you have a beautiful P226 Â heres mine Edited October 14, 2006 by FELDJAGER
fal
Anyone got a pics of their P226 with "proper looking" torch or laser mounted? What I meant by "proper looking" is that the mount of torch/laser sits flush with the frame. I have seen many with M3 mounted and it looked ugly because the frame of torch was sticking out from the frame of 226. Kinda like M3 on glock 19 if you get my drift. Â thanks.
