Cpt. Shadow Fox
Here's the new UTG sniper rifle. I usually don't paint guns but inspiration hits me*cough Maveric cough* once in a while and I break out the spraypaint. In the first pic my little brothers TM XM177 is laying on the ground. I gave that one a kind of Black Hawk Down paintjob. It's mostly for looks. Heh, Don't mind the dog butt. Not too sure if I'am gonna paint the G-Spec though...
chin
I'D Love to see that rifle totally finished. great paint job. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â Well heres the finished job, gave it 3 coats of acrylic matt varnish for that extra protection from scratches and wotnots, I think the hard work has paid off, although all things said the pros and con about painting a rifle is that you gain stealth with the camo but you loose that real steel look, but if it stops me sticking out like a sore thumb outdoors I dont mind. and the other side Hope you like the final result, if im lucky I might even get a rep point

Souske
The gloss black is a big contrast to the OD. Perhaps you could add some Flat Khaki and brown stripes to help "break" up the shape. But you do have a very clean job there.
Wege
Well heres the finished job, gave it 3 coats of acrylic matt varnish for that extra protection from scratches and wotnots, I think the hard work has paid off, although all things said the pros and  Gidday. .nice stuff dude..  May i ask what paint/colors you ended up selecting and using?
chin
G'day, well coloursI used where Tamiya modeling paints, I had to mix to get the right tones, I had Khaki but it was to dark so I added some white and some dessert sand colour to give me the bass colour, then I used light green with some Nato green mixed in, flatbrown with a touch of black and fot the light colour I use Tamiya BUFF mixed with some earth brown. Then finished with matt varnish, this also has to be taken into acount because the varnish darkens the colours even thought its colourless. Hope that helps mate. see ya
