aznriptide859
A teaser of what's to come...
RacingManiac
Some update...Thanks to CKinnerley's heads up, I got this Echo 93 sling plate...probably the closest thing to ASAP for AK without doing the buffer tube mod. Also changed the ACE grip adapter+MOE grip to a Mission First Tactical "Engage" Grip...basically a MIAD copy for AKs...The Ace adapter works ok, but it puts your hand further back and the trigger reach is longer, and makes it harder for me to do a tac reload as my hand is not big enough to grab a spare mag and press the mag release with the same hand, so I like to use my trigger finger to do that, with the longer reach its not possible.... DFM56
What do you think of the MFT grip? It's a shame you can't get nice grips and E93 sling plates on AEGs.. In other news, Texas Weapon Systems is a pretty cool guy. I wish I hadn't just ordered the modular Midwest rail. http://www.onesourcetactical.com/texasweaponsystemskalashnikovhandguard.aspx
RacingManiac
Interesting to see how that gas tube works.....I guess it has its own gas tube for it.... MFT grip is nice, I do wish its slightly thicker than it is, and its not as nicely made as Magpul's stuff. But it serves the purpose.... Clot
Hi ho. Yup, I asked Doc to make me a few of those muzzle brakes. Its a custom build, started with an LCT AK105, loads of other steel LCT parts & real steel bits later. Done!

DanHS
It's beautiful, I'm not a big fan of 'tacticool' AK's, but I do love it. I'm looking at the new WE PMC AKM, I'm tempted to get one and swap the furniture for a nice Romanian furniture set I have sitting here, and put a replica T1 on it like my CM.050A AIMS. WE is apparently also working on an SVD too, there's too many awesome airsoft guns coming out lately... Edited February 3, 2012 by DanHS
mightyjebus
I think some of the AK's on here belong in the AR15 thread Here's a reminder of what real AK's looks like
johny_blaze
I think some of the AK's on here belong in the AR15 thread And yet they are still better looking than what the russians think an AK should look like: AK12 by Izmash

TheFull9
Looks like a pretty clever design. Folding/adjustable stock, top rail all in line, bolted on top cover, reciprocating dust cover (by the looks of it?) and moving the rear sight back there should help the accuracy issues immensely. RacingManiac
Yep, despite the awkward look the new AK should resolve a lot of the issue that a lot of the modern stuff are meant to deal with...AK was reliable for its simple gas operating system, no reason why you can't throw new stuff over that....
