IronWolf
That AATV preview has me sold! Starburst, it mentions in the video that they're aiming for <300 USD.
Forti
If it never saw production then it's simply a fantasy/fictional class weapon. Airsofters, on the whole (or very very largely) are interested in replicas of real steel. And those of us who aren't at all interested in looking like we marched out of a factory will enjoy our tiny little new carbine that looks cool as hell, thank you.
uscmCorps
WHERE ARE MY G36 PMAAAAGSS There's a final production sample at the show. They will be commonly available within the next couple of months.
aznriptide859
Wow that gearbox design is ingenious; I'm seriously surprised they managed to fit a full size GB in the back of that gun. Here's hoping MOST of the parts are normal-GB compatible. I'm definitely getting one; thank god I have my hands on some money now, this and the Bizon are just going to be epic for 2012
Leshy
They should give it to KWA to make a GBBR! Odd's on cybergun will make a hash of it like the masada. I do like it though very clever. Or if not a gbbr atleast add a realistic stop/reload function like a proper PTS.
TheFull9
I couldn't give a monkeys about the airsoft version appearing before the real thing, the FPG was exactly the same after all. A compact, lightweight, ambidextrous (for getting round them corners) bullpup with legacy magazine compatibility is exactly the sort of gun I've been hoping to see for years. There's plenty of people out there rocking 10.5" ARs in woodland, which makes this thing an ideal all-rounder in my eyes, certainly at British FPS limits. The positioning of the mag catch is fantastic as well.
Reppyboyo
Cant wait. How do the mags feed though? The hop seems quite ahead of the mag, would need hellva feed tube.
weekenny
Hate P90's but like that...... Tempting.
bladerunner168
I so want this that I took my 10 PMAG 20's off the classifieds in anticipation of this. I just need Magpul to do an OD version now
TheFull9
I doubt they'll do this in anything but black unfortunately. I e-mailed PTS a while back asking about an OD ACR, they said it wasn't ever going to happen.
bankz5152
If I didnt have a P90 I would get one. Just watched the Vid too, that mag release is really quite somthing, very very cool.
Interficium
Would love to see how the mag release functions. It's so damn far away from the actual mag!
bankz5152
Same dude! I also wonder if the same release system will be implemented in future firearms both RS and airsoft. It is a fantastic development being able to drop a mag via the front and reload from the back! Really is the best of both worlds!!!
Forti
Off the top of my head, a basic lever with one end holding the mag in. When you press in the button end, the back end sticks out and releases the mag. You can see in the video it doesn't exactly drop out, so a very close fitting system. Making the above ambidextrous however, is the real trick!
Deadmeat
I don't have a P90 so I'd love to get one of these... Bonus points: 1. Uses regular PMags 2. 10.5" barrel will hopefully mean decent accuracy and range 3. Looks cool and it's Magpul!!!!
Diezel
normally I wouldn't be into a gun like this, but it has so much to offer such as the cqb bullpup design, accepts stanags, ultra fast spring change, front mag release etc... Not to mention, I have grown to love this gun on BF3. Tempting, very tempting.
sigma3
I need a new sci-fi space gun and have grown tired of the Vector. I think this will fill that whole nicely, hopefully alongside an F2000.
godwin
will buy it!!!
validtumoralarm
Anyone else notice that Scaar's name is Gregor Gruber? Awesome. Also, I'm buying one of these. Was going to get a KWA MP7 or Kriss as a backup gun for my Mk.18, but this takes the same mags as my primary, has the same length barrel, uses the same batteries (also, not gas), and can be thrown into a backpack. Perfect.
Horsem4n
i love AATV for always giving us the info we really want. i couldn't wait to see what the PDR had inside, i almost thought it was going to be an AEP, it so thin and tiny! for those still into halo, with that setup you can build the assault rifle. i can get MP5s shooting out to 200 feet accurately without flat hops, so this will definitely be a capable all arounder. REVOA4
Regarding it not being a real steel weapon, I would think magpul is trying to sell the design and rights to a real weapon manufacturer. We might see this gun get purchased for production in the future (like the masada/acr). And Gregor Gruber FTW!
rwoodcock01
OK, leagacy compatible magazines and a decent length barrel and well thought out mag release, I use liop's all the time now.... Well I think I am sold on buying one and it reminds of something from Ghost in the Shell, so its on my wish list and money put aside in the bank for when it eventually comes out. Cheers Rich
Forti
The onyl real question is, where do you stick the mosfet?
