Lithium Jack
lol If you get real steel sights, you have to drill holes in them corresponding to the holes in your WA sight. so you can fit them. i.e Where the holes are on your WA sight, measure and drill out holes in the same places on the real sight, so you can secure it to your PGC frame. thegunrunner
Just got some wood grips for my piece, still waiting on the metal barrel and sight. Can't wait to do another one in silver.
trfo2o
wow man, that'd be great for a SFOD-D load out type thing. Col. Haney style...(you don't get it, it's ok)
uscmCorps
thegunrunner, Is that the PGC kit on a TM? And does anyone know if a TM 1911 can use RS grips? Thanks!
skyler8158
Col. Haney style...(you don't get it, it's ok) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eric Haney is not exactly liked by the SFOD-D community.
trfo2o
yea all I was saying is that his troop trained with those same exact kinds of pistols. And why isn't he? because of the book he wrote? you can PM to explain, i'm highly interested.
no1rc3ur
are all the WA MEU pistols discontinued?
trfo2o
SCW2's are, but the new SCW3's now have full springfield trademarks.
hitmanNo2
The ones with trades are J-Armory which is pretty much WA.
Fuser
Is that the PGC kit on a TM? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. And does anyone know if a TM 1911 can use RS grips? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've never heard of grips that the TM M1911A1 isnt compatible with. Are you looking at a specific type? skyler8158
is this false advertisement then hitman? http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=2830 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah pretty much, they are still J-Armory. That said, there isn't really a big difference between J-Armory and WA SCW3/Magna-Techs. Edited January 2, 2007 by skyler8158
trfo2o
well the difference is who's manufacturing them. That ###### me off that AEX says they are made by WA and then jacks the price way up. But they could be actual WAs and not j-armorys
skyler8158
But they could be actual WAs and not j-armorys <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, they can't. J-Armory is the only one that uses Authentic Springfield trademarks.

ghost_x3
SCW2's are, but the new SCW3's now have full springfield trademarks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow really? So shouldn't that make the MEU series more valuable? Also, does the WA MEU Late Model ( S.C.W. Ver. 2 ) have adjustable hop-up?
uscmCorps
I've never heard of grips that the TM M1911A1 isnt compatible with. Are you looking at a specific type? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I figured the grips that will come with my PGC fitted TM 1911 (from UNCo.) will probably be the original stock faux wood grips that came with the TM 1911. So I was wondering if the TM 1911 would be compatible with RS grips. Glad to hear that they are. Can anyone recommend decent wood grips and decent rubber grips?
trfo2o
yea all SCW1's and 2's have adjustable hop up, I find the SCW1's to suck though. I had a wilson combat CQB for a while and I hated the accuracy on it. My MEU though is really nice, the shots line up with the sights perfectly
Sao
Can anyone recommend decent wood grips and decent rubber grips? Personally I love the Cocobolo wood grips on the 45's and for rubber I prefer PAchmayr over Hogues but again thats personaly opinion. Or you could go for both in onr, pretty sure its Pachmayr who make some nice rubber and rosewood grips.
