hkssr20det
I actually don't know what you are talking about. The Springfield A1 guns have that shape frame, since they run A1 style hammers and grip safeties. The Delta Elite also shares that frame detail since it runs a duck tail grip safety, so what gun are you talking about? Unless the model is running a beavertail grip safety it doesn't need a rounded frame. Speaking of Deltas, I have three in the house right now (only 2 are mine) Edited December 9, 2007 by hkssr20det
ruchik
I'm talking about the Springfield PGC kits for the Marui. If you take a look at the RS Springfield and the PGC, you'll notice that the tangs are different. You'll see that on the RS, it uses more of a round profile, compared to the pointier one on the PGC. I'm almost positive that the RS has more of the grip safety exposed beyond the tang, leading me to believe that the PGC one either has the wrong tang or the RS uses a longer grip safety. *Edit: I am referring to any Springfield model that is a GI-styled one that uses a non-beavertail grip safety. Philip Aram
I like your modernized delta. Pretty sweet. Did you have to file anything to fit the beavertail?
Romulus
Really like your Delta(s) hkssr20det. Perhaps you should try out a two-tone Delta just to see how it looks.
hkssr20det
I like your modernized delta. Pretty sweet. Did you have to file anything to fit the beavertail? Yeah, a fair bit of work went into fitting it. Davedawg did an even more custom fit job than me.

Sherlock
Question guys, can this be fitted onto a TM 1911? Do you not also need the internals from a HiCapa 5.1 slide?
RockDog
Sherlock, what outer barrel did you use for that springfield above?
CrazyJ
aww I see.... I think I will save some cash and go with Guarder when airsoftgi has their store sale again, I am in no hurry and would rather save money for a project built around an escort gas gearbox if it turns out to be any good
Sherlock
Sherlock, what outer barrel did you use for that springfield above? Nine Ball SAS. Just about to advertise a spare acutally. Has 14mm+ on the end. Light usage only. £25 posted and Paypal'd. This one. Edited December 10, 2007 by Sherlock
Senor Bear
Another TM Springfield. (snippy) Oh noes! Silencer is marked as 9mm!
Sherlock
Yeah I had the conversion done on it. The Springfield is only 6mm now. Nothing a spray of paint won't be fixing. Edited December 10, 2007 by Sherlock
FriendlyFire!
Do you not also need the internals from a HiCapa 5.1 slide? Hmmm... yeah I forgot about all that, looks like this project is going to take some rethinking and a bit more money, but if anyone has any experiance with this please feel free to add. I realy want that slide on my TM 1911A1.
nine
do they make a Kimber 1911 kit for the TM ?

Romulus
About the best you can do is to buy a Hi-Capa Kimber slide and then fit it to a 1911. I haven't seen anyone do it though.

That would actually work better since the Kimber slides include front and rear sights. Just get the TK adapter and rock it.
Romulus
I was actually thinking about doing that to my Delta if I could sell the slide to someone for a two-tone gun. Be unique.
