The can is here.

...

The barrel binds like hell every third time or so.

I have the same can for my WA Kimber. It binded sometimes early on, but after some lube and a few manual cycles, it now works fine. It's extremely lightweight for its size, at least in comparison to the shorter Pro Arms 6" can I had before.

After about five hours of work I got my TM 1911 into a Guarder kit. Took about an hour and a half of buffing with fine sandpaper to get the slide to move halfway decent. It sometimes gets stuck. I suppose it just needs some breaking in?

Other than that the 150% recoil and hammer spring gives a really hard kick. With the added tightbore it really zooms BBs downrange. Now just to find a PGC/Prowin Rear sight and outer barrel instock...

Anyone got a link to a place that does? :D

I am honestly suprised at that.

I took about .. a couple of hours?.. tops?

and that was because it was not my M1911A1 and guarder frame.

It is binding, but that was mostly sorted by the end of it.

It looks UBER hawt with the Carom wood-grips on there too. Far nicer than the Herrets grips. The weight at 560gm or so is lighter than the TM one (680ish), but the balance is better for it though.

Sorry for what might be a stupid question, but what does "bind" mean?

silly question but I know nothing about 1911s or the like.

I was going to order a WA V10 from Boomarms but after I sent my order over they changed the status to out of stock. Now it appears TMC is now out of stock as well, I pretty much cant find them anywhere. The WA colt defender is actually cheaper and in stock in most places.

My question is, would I be able to buy a WA Colt Defender and just use a V10 kit on it? Or are the parts not interchangeable?

Also if anyone has the Boomarms V10 kit, how is the fitment? I heard it was just a Prime kit, and requires the prime fitting treatment.

Care to share the secret of getting hold of boomarms Mathub?  Is there some sort of code you need to start off your enquiry with that only people in the know are aware of otherwise they ignore you?

Just noticed theres a somewhat lack of pictures on this page.  I found this pic on my internet travels and think it's awesome.  Some very nice leather.

But it's full size. I couldn't find an exact match so I guessed it must have been an older style holster that is an older model combat master in the havana colour. Unless i've missed one, or it's not even Galco and it's the belt or mag holder that is the Galco item in the pic.

I finally got this done, its nothing compared to what a lot you guys have, but I love it.... well I can say that about almost any 1911. :P

I had gotten this gun done about 2 months ago... well all the metal parts anyway, but I finally got the Springfield Armory wood grips in today from ebay. It was hard for me to find the right price for these so last week I said WTH I'll just settle for $30 buy it now. The only drawback I have with these grips is that most of the weight is gone, but the looks.... AWSOME!

And keep those beautiful 1911 pics coming guys!

Does anyone have any experience with the Guarder Slide and Frame set for the TM 1911? I like the price, but I'd cough up a bit more for a PGC if it is better.

Ah, Res! Stop changing your pistol. Everytime I see it I want one just like it. I've got to ask...where'd you get the grips?
