FireKnife
Does anyone out ther have a proper role within their teams. I dont mean those who slap a scope on an Armlite and call themselves a 'Sniper' or someone puts a drum mag on a standard G3 and calls themselves a 'Support Gunner'. I am a Rifleman an follow most of the equipment guidelines that most Special forces comply with. I was just wondering if people prefered a role in a team like i do other than just running around with a rifle they like. 'FireKnife'
GuzziHero
Designated Marksman. Not a sniper. A DM. Huge difference. And before you criticise and say "How is putting a scope, bipod and cheekrest on an upgraded M15a2 making you a marksman?", Ill ask "How else am I supposed to replicate an M15a2 Delta HBAR?". Sometimes, some people in this sport annoy me. Im not just talking about this particular instance, however.
Smith5
The guy most likely to drop his gun and run at the objective with just the bomb under covering fire.
Belladonna
? My team role is sniper, i have a l96, or m14, or spr, backed up with g36c or p90 but i can fill the assault role my entire team have to be able to cover too...
Crispin1025
Support-CA249, is my primary mission within the team. Other roles filled as necessary, and only if no one else can. Cheers, Daniel
Rusty65
I tend to take a recon/scout role whenever I play. Lots of sneaking around the enemy's flanks and taking out a few of the stragglers with the ole' phantom Aug. Its not the most action packed role, but I am pretty lazy so it means less running for me. PariahWolf
Well I fufill a rifleman slot in one of our teams fireteams atm, maybe team leader still need to work out who does that. I also hold the title, safety officer for our team.

'FireKnife' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you do know that some guns have a multi-role purpose like the XM8. HK designed the gun to fill just about every role such as, sniper, cqb, support, rifleman, grenadier, and whatever i missed. As for me i'm more of a recon man so a fairly small smg or assault rifle will do me good (right now i have a G36c). And occasionally when needed or in small scrimages ill be an assault man
darkchild130
Assault. Leading them, coordinating them, just taking part in them under someone elses command, whatever, assaults are my bag. To me its the purest test of the skills, winning the firefight with suppressive fire leading to a point blank storming of a position and managing to not get killed brings me immense satisfaction. Assaulting FTW. Darkchild
FireKnife
To anyone questioning it when i say sniper i mean a bolt or semi-auto sniper rifle (not an assault rifle with a scope). I understand exactly what a DMR is as my AK has the option of being deployed as one. I also fill in the role of fire team 2 leader as my team prefers fire teams and comms as our approach. Our team has 3 Riflemen, 1 Assault, 1 Grenadier (Also Team Lead) and 1 Support (though our support is not offical since it is a guy carrying a G3 SG1 with bipod and 3000 round drum mag) and each of us fills the designated role. Keeps those posts coming!!!!!! 'FireKnife'
TheAverageAsian
DMR as well. Tm m14 running over forum limits with a 3x9 scope. Carrying around no more than 4 mags and never use them all by the end of the day. iIts almost always semi for me. I stick with the squad and reach out to places where normal AEGs can't. bb-of-cliffe
I can play different roles assult, recon or pretty much most roles with my M4(not sniper or support!). My shotguns help me play wherever i want close up! If you are a skilled airsoft player and have lots of varied weapons, or a versatile gun you can play any role!

GuzziHero
Apologies to you, FireKnife. I really went off on one there. I just get a bit annoyed by the too-many folks who are like "ArmaLite am teh zuxxorz. Joo aint no spypa wit' a scope". I shouldnta snapped at you. Peace, bro
Sgt Craig
Depends, normally i run about shouting and getting in the thick of in the morning (Assualt/rifleman i guess), then post lunch i tend to take a step back to digest my sandwiches and either do a bit of 'holding the rear (no jokes)' or try and set up a bit of an ambush. if i'm feeling energetic, a bit of forward observing or i take on the role of information/propaganda operative by testing the enemies morale (calling them a bunch of pussies from the saftey of a near by bush and seeing if they give chase or not)
Ascendance610
I am our squad's marksman, my squad is mostly full-auto fury style. While one person likes the go stealthy and do recon. I usually am set to single fire and pull off many of the long shots that present themselves.
Terry
i was a grenadier, M16A2 w/ M203. but that was temporary until i could get my VSR10 and SL8, now im customizing my SL8 to fill the role of Sniper.
Tariel
I fit in as a pure airsoft sniper. I carry a PSG-1 as my main and then a MP5K and MK23 as secondarys. (As you can see, I'm an H&K person.)
sniper_boi
I have an L96 for sniping and a P90 for backup.. The team im in has a couple of other snipers, so its quite handy to watch each other at the same time... Me thinks its time to ask the team about Ghille Suits for us snipers.. I wouldnt say i had a specified role in the team, it can change verying on the situation..
FireKnife
Well i am now a Rifleman / DM as my AK now has a proper DM kit for it. It may seem odd to some what i carry and wear but for the sake of it my kit is NATO Dutch with a 'battle looted' AK74M. Its good fun but soon i will be in spetz camo. btw feel free to add country styled kit that you follow. Russian, Dutch, British and German makes up our team (we are a bit like the specialists from Ghost Recon made up of everything)
