Can't believe that no-one has mentioned the TM mk23 socom yet.

EDIT: suppressed of course.

Someone did...

I'd vote for the KSC M93R fitted with the metal slide/barrel kit - I've yet to hear a metalised GBB that sounds as good, even ones with much more expensive slides.

Cheers

well, to me there are two that spring to mind...

my friends TM G3 SAS... he modified it to fire at 1,600 rpm (hilarious, we rebuilt it after every second game, once he split the gearbox, AND shredded the spring into three pieces in ONE game after all new had been fitted after detonation in the previous game...)

it sounded a lot like a real life minigun, except faster. You could hear the motor spool up and then you could only hear every third "pop" and even then, it was "Whee-Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft" it was so quick, single shot setting fired a three burst. It was an excellent gun to keep heads down... we once pinned three kids behind a bit of corrugated tin, and you can imagine the noise it was making... heheh. They all held up their guns and surrendered rather than get shot (good thing actually, as approaching the tin, we'd have been hit by the billions of rebounds.)

secondly, my KSC USP C with metal slide running on propane - for cqb games it's "Crack" is just breathtaking, and the guns so fast it really does fire as fast as you can pull the trigger.

agree on the TMP too.. on green of course.

I like the loading noise of a HFC M190 and of a TM M14.

I like the muzzle crack of my ICS M4 with a Noveske muzzle. I also reckon there's something about the noise of TOP guns that's much harsher than normal AEGs.

I like the suppressed noise of my TM Mk23 and I also like the unsuppressed noise of my L96, which sounds more like an air-rifle than an airsoft gun.

Best sounding AEG I have heard (in person) would have to be my TM M16 with a suppressor. It's surprisingly more quiet with one.

The KWC Co2 Desert Eagle has a really nice and loud "clank" to it, but I would have to say I enjoy the loud pop of the UHC/TK VP70 on propane better.

Sun Project M16 sounds fab, sounds amazing with a silencer on it.

An Escort MP5 with noveske "sound hog" (our club's nickname for them) is pretty deafening.

Those two will beat any AEG hands down.

Would the Noveske flash hider really increase the sound noticably? I got a ringing in my ears today just from sighting in my MP5 and breaking it in.

EDIT: Catman which sound do you prefer, the SP M16 or the Escort MP5?

Catman's talking about my rifles here so I'll chip in an answer the question about them.

I think that on the MP5 the sound hog make a big difference, it's much more of a crack from the muzzle using the sound hog. On the SP M16 we tired it on I didn't think it made much difference, it does make it sound a little louder but not much.

It's hard to say which one I perfer as the noise and action is diferent, I would say that the MP5 is closer to the real thing, still not as loud, and it sounds better than the SP M16 with the sound hog on.

I don't like either rifle with a silencer on but as you can see Catman does, with the silencer it hardly makes any noise, a dull thud, in fact with a silencer it's probably louder for the user than for the person on the other end.

Cocking metal slide kfc glocks is always good.

My silenced (body dynomatted & lalax double flat) p90 always sounds good at 1800rpm.

Even better on a 11.2 lipo. Half a mag in 3 seconds (about 3000rpm!) before the piston broke.

Instead of the usual highspeed rumble it just went zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! & the tree at the bottom of the garden fell over :D.........................(I made that last bit up).

Greg.
