Night_raven
Gas Mask (Filter out the Fallout Dust, this is the one that is the major killer after the initial strike) Protective clothing, covers every single inch of skin. M4 or M16, and if possible, a sidearm. Also, if your going to do a moden "post exchange" loadout,... you'd find very little in the way of Fallout (Due to airbursts), but given the scenario that a city isn't going to be done by airbursts, and that groundbursts will happen, it's safe to assume one thing* *Your bloody barmy! Cyber Soldier
I have a set of pics my friend and I posed for that are fairly post apocalyptic. As we can assume that if the UK were invaded the world will have really gone to *beep*. It is 2012 and Britain has been invaded by a hostile power. While the Army falls back under immense pressure a few brave patriots are organised to stay behind and slow down the enemy and allow the Army to regroup. Massive pushes through the woodlands of have begun, with enemy forces reacting to the reports of patriot rebels taking up arms and camping out in the woods to evade enemy patrols. In response, the patriots broke up their camps, spreading their forces out and initiating two-man patrols. Each patrol would operate in a set area, an area pre-determined by their commanders, where enemy troops were known to operate. The patrols would work to harrass the enemy, using their knowledge of the terrain to hit-and-run, evading any pursuit. Usually, more than one patrol would operate in an area, with simple recognition codes being used to differentiate between friend and foe. The two patrolmen would load up in a secluded spot, and move out from there, moving out to locate and harrass the enemy.
Cyber Soldier
Rule Britannia The kit we're running is mostly civilian OD, denim and leather clothes with a ChiCom rigs, russian pouches for ammo and civvie rucksacks/satchels as bug out bags.
mikoyan99
Thats fantastic- of course, the country is still full of old defences, especially second world war- I live in Kent, and there were hundreds of secret arms caches over the county for resistance members to sally out from. the weapons are gone, but the bunkers remain. -matt
Chimpy
The only thing that doesn't work for me is the jeans what with them being next to useless in our climate if you are going to spend any length of time outdoors. Other than that it's pretty ace!
Cyber Soldier
*shameless self promotion* Oh if you're interested I've written some stories and a couple of scripts based on the concept I mentioned above. *shameless self promotion*
TheMerchantOfVenice
Haha. I'm getting more interested in this idea, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R is more my taste.

Agent Hunk
Nuclear War? 9mms and M4s common? I'll be after a Phased-plasma rifle in the forty watt range. Everything else just isn't strong enough.
Bondisthespy
what about .45 long slide with laser sighting?
TheMerchantOfVenice
Watched "Life After People" last night. Awesome. Didn't get to watch the second half. Anywho, I'm thinking my Post-Nuke-ish loadout is more of what the Militia after a few years would look like. A bit of US kit, a bit Russian, all cool.
Gliderrider
Well for me it has to be either M1 Carbine or Tmompson and .38 Revolver "Liberated" from an LDV Auxilery Arms Cache(The chances of me finding one are about the same as surviving MGTNW) and Civi outdoors gear. OR Fifth Colomist Jeans, Chi Com Rig & AK OR Double Barrel 12 Bore(But without ammo, just like Max) and Civi Out Doors gear.
Jagdraben
*shameless self promotion* Oh if you're interested I've written some stories and a couple of scripts based on the concept I mentioned above. *shameless self promotion* I think your insurgents would have better luck and not end up quite as dead as often if they did the French Resistance thing: ie, blow up bridges/dams/&c., ambush small patrols, assassinate enemy officers, &c. Skarclaw
Get a copy of the swiss army guide to guerrilla warfare, could have some "inspirational" material. edit; That is, for a story about a modern day western insurgency or whatever, not a post nuke airsoft loadout. Murph
There's also a show on CBS about Post Nuclear America called "Jericho" Plenty of material to get ideas from. Can't say they're anything too high-speed or anything though.
Mr Foxhound
If you guys are into the Post Nuke thing, You should check out Jericho. Heres a Ravenwood Security (A PMC Company in the show) member from Jericho (He's the leader of the Ravenwood PMCs): http://blogs.chron.com/tubular/archives/ravenwood.jpg http://img5.allocine.fr/acmedia/rsz/434/x/...92/18872890.jpg Pretty much a normal PMC with Desert Marpat pants and a Ravenwood Patch. Titleist
Actually, here's the thing, even on my PVS + Wilcox mount even though the Aimpoint is about 6mm higher than the PVS you can still see just fine. It's odd but it works. Mainly because your focus isn't at 4-5 inches from the scope. So it WOULD work, but frankly having that spacer wouldn't hurt.
Finius
Probably already been mentioned, but I'm thinking a little bit S.T.A.L.K.E.R for a post-nuke loadout kind of thing. Not exactly original, but the point is you wear what you find comfy, you wear stuff you can live in whatever the weather, and you wear any tac-gear you can get your hands on, same with the gun too really, so, go raid your wardrobes and be free my irradiated children! By S.T.A.L.K.E.R I mean the guys at the beginning who just seem to be wearing what suits them...Just so everyones knows...
Jagdraben
Just out of sordid curiousity... anyone have any ideas for an Allied States load-out from Jericho? That is, of course, if anyone has seen the show... and if anything, other than the flag, has changed.
