newbkiller
wow, that loadout is very resident evil-esque. I love the shotgun as well.
Unscrupulous Sousuke
thank you. it's my HPD SWAT kit that i got inspired to make a few years back and finally made it practically complete. the shotgun was one of the final pieces to make it perfect for me.
amateurstuntman
Maruzen shell ejecting M870 with the extended barrel and mag tube from an M1100, a full length home-made TN barrel and custom sub chamber rigged for external CO2. It also has the stock from a Benelli Super 90 bodged onto it. This thing is a beast. will shoot 6BBs out to AEG range
my_plague_666
how efficiant is it on 12g capsules? it shouldnt be too hard to fit the CO2 set in the stock should it? if so i would be VERY interested in buying a maruzen shotty (although probably an M1100). and why did you put a benelli stock on it? the stock and grip are the worst looking parts of the M3
amateurstuntman
I don't use 12g capsules, I use a 20oz painball remote and regulator from my classic guns, it lets me adjust the power output up to the level where I can shoot 6 .12s a skirmishable distance. I have an M1100 too but I hardly ever use it for skirmishing because of the fragility of the internals and difficulty in upgrading it. I used the Benelli stock because it came up for sale for £15 and because I didn't want it for looks, I wanted it for pointability, I find it much easier to wield a pistol grip shotgun and to slide the action with wet hands. It is a tactical choice rather than an aesthetic one. Oddly I have just bought a Benelli minus the stock for £30 and I will probably put the Maruzen stock onto it. I wonder how that will look? my_plague_666
IMO they look pretty nice with standard style shotty stocks on them. and damn, i was hoping i could buy an M1100 and mod that for efficiant and powerful CO2 use
amateurstuntman
The problem with the 1100 is that if you use more powerful gas than 134 the bolt recoils so fast that the extractor doesn't have time to work properly and you get stoppages. A really stiff spring plus a recoil buffer would help that problem but then you have the unnecessarily complex gas system. I suppose it is do-able but it will be a pain. ED-SKaR
Good old TM M3 shotgun with all the bits falling off. Function over form! Edited July 21, 2007 by ED-SKaR
Slash'
Hang on... What other bits are there to fall off other than the shell door and bolt handle?

amateurstuntman
I have blown a standard piston head to pieces with green but it could easily have been a bad head. I would reccomend an aluminium piston head with an o-ring (I have never seen these for sale so you might have to make one. Then a stronger recoil spring and (if there is room) a recoil buffer. I might get round to doing it to mine some time.
mililanishooter
but if anything..... i wouldnt recomend going any thing above green gas for the m1100.... and the new pieces that maruzen are making are better than the old ones.... the old ones couldnt handle green gas.... the ones now are perfect but for the m870 u can try run C02 in it.... because it has been done already.... Unscrupulous Sousuke
OK, here's a repost fixing the bad img links. i uploaded the images into the gallery here, so it should work: what she did to a Sapporo beer can. those things are tough! ammo used was .2g. this time with .25g. on the bottom of the can, with the .2g impact circled above the .25g one. pics of me with the beast. enjoy. MODDAN
does the marushin m500 series take real steel stocks?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes they do indeed. I know a fellow airsofter on a Swedish airsoft forum who lost his rear sight on his Mossberg and replaced it with an ATI top folding stock with a ghost sight. Works perfectly. Unscrupulous Sousuke: Nice shotty! Is it a Maruzen or Tanaka 870?
ViciousV10s
Unscupulous' shotty looks like a Maruzen from the mag in it.
Unscrupulous Sousuke
it is a Maruzen. there's no end to what you can do with one. i just ordered a G&P Remington 870 metal receiver shell from UNCompany for it, so soon it will be full metal with the exception of the stock. ViciousV10s
I own a RS M500, any RS M500 stock will fit the Mossberg airsoft M500 version.
