kojak
Yeah, I think they call it an Emerson. The colors in the MC printed webbing are a little dark, and the zipper zips up instead of down but I still like it.
Agent Hunk
How are the zippers on the 1961Gs? The zipper on my Eagle MPCR felt really cheap.
frogfish
As an FYI my pantac 1961 has been my go-to beatup rig for the past few months, and my primary has been my VFC Mk17, it can only hold 4 7.62 mags but... you can use the battery pouches as added storage, and there is always cargo pockets... beta08
How are the zippers on the 1961Gs? The zipper on my Eagle MPCR felt really cheap. Ironic you ask... Someone at a local game this weekend decided to be a funny guy and unzip it as hard as he could to get it off me for whatever reason. It broke, and needless to say I'm ######. sigma3
Got a question about the 1961s... I just picked up a TAG Phalanx which as far as I can tell is a very accurate copy. Thing is, it seems more uncomfortable than other chest rigs I have used with mags in. I can actually feel the pressure from the magazines pressing into my ribs. It's not terribly uncomfortable but it is noticeable. Is this true of LBT or other manufacturer's models?
beta08
Haven't had a problem with comfort in my LBT. It actually is very comfortable to wear even fully loaded. Could be because it's made of 500d instead of the 1000d that TAG uses.
ERTrifleman
The phalanx series is 500d as well. I'm not sure what it is about the phalanx rigs but when I had mine it just wasn't comfortable.
Leon Kennedy
New rig. Thanks, Agent_Hunk.
kingdong
Heres my LBT 1961G with MC 6094A slick gen 2. Great piece of kit and is probably the most comfy rig I own, never going to buy china copies ever again. Merry Christmas! Edited December 25, 2011 by kingdong
Agent Hunk
Nice 1961G. How do you like the SLICK? Currently using the BHI low-vis, under my 1961A, but mostly because it was super cheap.
kingdong
Thanks! I do like the slick, its actually the 6094B and cost me $114 straight from LBT. It seems to fit my build better than most plate carriers I have owned. Im going to get the LBT 2586J for the summer to go on the slick instead of using the chest rig. Leon Kennedy
Just a few more of Mr. Box.
hwagan
Warrior 901 rig with Fastmags - Really, really decent piece of kit for £40.
Agent Hunk
How well do SCAR-H magazines fit into the 1961A chest rigs? I read earlier you can fit one in each pouch but are they really crammed into the pouches and stretching the material? Or is extraction still easy?
sigma3
Extraction is pretty easy. Getting them in there is less easy. (I haven't used an LBT 1961 and am referring only to a TAG Phalanx, but it is the same design and I assume pouch fitment is probably the same)

Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
Ok I have a question for 1961 owners; The side GP pockets, how are they at holding a standard 1 litre canteen? I'm getting an A-R, just as soon as the folks at LBT are back from vacation, and I want to know whether or not I should hang on to my MLCS Canteen pouch to wear on my riggers belt.
-MOOSE-
They fit, it's doable, but the cap will stick out some and the flap of the pouch might be difficult to close. I've seen it done before, though I do not own a 1961 myself.
Agent Hunk
I can test when I get home but it just seems like a bad idea given the design of the front pouches and the weight of a 1L canteen.
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
Yeah that's what I figured. I'll probably run a canteen in a pouch on my belt, and have an extra one or two in my pack.
Dunderklump
I usually run a canteen in the right GP pouch on my pantac 1961 and haven't had any issues with it.
Tufty
500 or 750ml nalgene bottle fits in the radio pouch of a 1961 or any derivative of very well
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
Brilliant, thanks. When my 1961 gets here next week, I'll fiddle around with it some.
