Mr Foxhound
Seeing they have threads for type of vest, I figured this was a good idea.

twig
thought I should get round to posting my real-steel rig. It's done me proud with 12 months op service in the sandbox (hence the weathered look). It may not have all the bells and whistles that some of these rigs have but it works! Pkekyo-Nor
twig: Excuse me, but isn't that a tac-vest and not a chest rig? This one's sorta borderline, but without plates and a rear plate carrier I consider it a chest rig Glorious RLCS fun

starburst
This one's sorta borderline, but without plates and a rear plate carrier I consider it a chest rig Even with a front plate its still a chest rig...just one with a plate

T3CH
It may not have all the bells and whistles that some of these rigs have but it works! exactly, You got a list of the bits and pieces used to make that mate? like the functionality of it everything where it needs to be and no clutter (which is the point innit ) Edited March 2, 2009 by T3CH
[BS]_MARS
Older pic of the 1961A How do the chest rig and plate stay together when it's being worn?
-MOOSE-
Its held with velcro onto the chest rig, though I think you also have to velcro it to a soft armor vest as well, to keep it rigid. I don't know if there is a pocket to keep it in place...

TheLair
Its held with velcro onto the chest rig, though I think you also have to velcro it to a soft armor vest as well, to keep it rigid. I don't know if there is a pocket to keep it in place... There is a row of hook on the front side of the inner compartment, and the back of the compartment is covered with loop. Its a pretty deep pocket, too, so you may not need to have it velcro'd anywhere else. Of course, it may not be a real SAPI and wouldn't be very heavy anyway
tangman
I did the same thing with a replica Eagle Universal Chest Rig & replica SAPI, wasnt even a velco lined pocket and I still had no problems. As long as the chest rig is tight, you shouldnt have any problems.
