lazyshark
That's funny... When I looked at it last night it said nova ultra rcp kit for tm. That or someone's slipping stuff in my water.
mimesis
You weren't hallucinating. Look at the webpage name in this link and then look at the title of the page that it takes you too. http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_Conversion_Kits_GBB_NOVA_Kimber_Uktra_RCP_II_Kits_for_Marui_1911_MEU_Matt_Balck.htm
Aitch
Nova make the LDC operator kit too, I know
lazyshark
Ok glad I'm not crazy. I would definitely pick up a non railed ldc svi single stack for tm whenever that comes out.
singlestack
I can see it from the scratches on the end of the slide catch's shaft that you are also having problems field stripping the Talon without tools! I've replaced it with a 1911 slide catch which has a rounded end. RWL NightHawk Talon
PureSilver
http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_Conversion_Kits_GBB_NOVA_Kimber_Uktra_RCP_II_Kits_for_Marui_1911_MEU_Matt_Balck.htm If I had not just bought ProWins for my upcoming Inok M4... DAMN that looks good [EDIT]The titling at RedWolf is all over the f***ing shop. Firstly they misspell 'Ultra' twice (once in the title, and once in the URL) and secondly, they say it's for the WA SCW3...[/EDIT] Edited May 18, 2012 by PureSilver
hitmanNo2
Yup, thats a WA kit. Who knows how RW got Nova into the mix.
PureSilver
... So it's not Nova and it's not for TM? I'm so confused. [EDIT]After some Googling, I think what happened was the product was originally mislabelled by RW's webmaster as a Nova kit for the Marui MEU. When it was pointed out to this presumably-soon-to-be-fired employee that he was wrong in just about every important way, the page was haphazardly corrected to Prime (the correct manufacturer) and WA SCW3 (the correct donor pistol). However, they don't correct the URL, which is what's leading to the confusion.[/EDIT] Edited May 21, 2012 by PureSilver
hitmanNo2
Also, it still says Nova in the product details. But yeah, that sounds plausible.
wazzy1013
@ Aitch was wondering; what type of grips do you have on your 1911, and are they ambi ?
Aitch
What one Springfield, GRP or the Kimber? If a grip isn't ambi-cut a needle file makes them ambi
wazzy1013
What one Springfield, GRP or the Kimber? If a grip isn't ambi-cut a needle file makes them ambi the one on the picture above usign the NOVA full railed SFA kit
Aitch
I need a better picture, when I get better grips I will update, these are cheap *suitcase* grips but they look better than the stock option, Kimber CDP, nice compact slide full length grip 1911.
Shardik
Can anyone tell me if this is based on a real 1911? It's a KWA 1911 PTP
cool-breeze87
Can anyone tell me if this is based on a real 1911? It's a KWA 1911 PTP Looks like a Kimber TLE II to me. Apart from the markings. Edited May 24, 2012 by crackisbad pics removed
WhiteHawksan
dont' quote pictures, just use <snip> instead And I think you're right there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Kimber_Custom_TLE_II_%28Slide_locked%29.JPG
Shardik
Ah ok so the trademarks are false. Cheers
FireKnife
The trademarks are typical KWA without licensing, so instead of piddling about with Umarex they just called them the Mark 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 and sent them out. The only difference is that each mark is basically a variant of a Kimber, olive frames and rails on the other models etc. If only KWA didn't make them with such low capacity magazine that cost the same as a TM one these would be tempting. cool-breeze87
Actually the Mark III and IV look like unrailed and railed versions of the Springfield Operator to me.
FireKnife
They look different, but not that much like an Operator, but it was probably just easier to make a 1911 and not bother trying to get all the trades so just call it what they want. As it is part of the PTP line then it is likely meant to be similar to a modern framed and modified 1911. Either way they seem good for what you get, full metal and a NS2 system. Shame about the 14-15rd magazines. While we are here, anyone care to buy me a 945 Compact from the USA at KWA and ship it to me 'FireKnife'
mimesis
Nice trades!! Wouldn't you prefer one of these?
FireKnife
I just want the 945 as i like single action compacts, though i would have to trade out the safety. Plus the markings on that A1 look bad. 'FireKnife'
