league 4
Pedlar, the EMC turned out really well, makes me wish I still had my XM110.... Have you considered a different light? The M961 seems a little big for that setup, but it's still a nice light either way (I use one)
bladerunner168
That is one delectable SR25 EMC I am currently drawing up plans to build one of these. Â To those who have built one, which base did you use, Ares or G&P? Â I had the Ares XM110 and TBH, wasn't that impressed.
uscmCorps
The Ares XM110 is fine so long as you don't mess with it. Ever. The instant you start tinkering with it, you'll never get it back to working order. The Ares also has a hopup unit that is locked into the gearbox due to all their compression issues. You can NOT use any aftermarket hopup unit other than the one Ares supplied with the gun. Â G&P on the other hand seems a lot more practical, and predictable to work on. Plus you can use LR20 PMAGs in it. The Ares can now use those mags. I'd stick with the G&P. I kinda wish I had bought League4's G&P XM110.
Pedlar
uscmCorp .... I'd agree with you on the Ares as all the ones i've found are finicky to say the best.  With regards to the others you have 2 options ..  (a) the G&P models - good quality, but expensive and they have trades on them a good or bad thing that up to your own personnal opinion.  ( the A&K version - a near straight copy of the G&P with a blank body which is ideal for laser etching the correct trades on, sure the internals aren't great but that is an easy job to rectify seeing as its a near standard item .  Anyhow as for mine the next step is to get a Larue SPR/M4 - 1.93" mount and then look at getting the trades laser etched  As for the big surefire lamp... well this is my nightfighting gun and having that big assed lamp their during night games makes for a nice equaliser, especially when its got the IR beam cover on it .  But I do appreciate the comments on how to improve it so keep them coming. PianoBlack
 Hurricane/Polarstar KAC SR47 w/ URX III, PTS UBR, & PTS MIAD  VFC KAC SR635 w/ Madbull Noveske  AOR1 fabric was supposed to arrive today, but since the post office can't deliver, you're all stuck with AOR2.  -Piano
jgarnreiter
My heart sunk in so far when I saw that SR-47. It's like seeing the women you've been in love with all your life get married to someone else. Â Hands down, nicest SR-47 you'll ever see. Kudos.
DFM56
With the exception of the 5.56 mag, I agree! 7.62 waffles or modded US PALM mags would look great in it imo. Otherwise, fantastic build, I can tell a lot of time and money went into it and it sure paid off.

Otherwise, fantastic build, I can tell a lot of time and money went into it and it sure paid off. Â Thanks! The choice of magazines was the hardest decision I had to make. I've been looking for Real Sword midcaps stateside, but having failed to found them, just went with the 5.56 mags as they're compatible with the same pouches as my EMAGs. I'll look into modifying a USPalm mag though. Â I'll spend some time in the future squaring away a light mount, optics, and a grip of some sort, but I think I'm done with working on her for the time being. DFM56
One of the guys I play with just got a real sword AK and he's having the same trouble with mags. They look good, it's just the whole, design a DI weapon in 7.62 that handles like an AR then use it with 5.56 AK mags that bothers me, but I'm odd like that.
PianoBlack
No worries. I had the hardest time finding a 7.62 flashhider, but decided to stick with the TTB instead of the AAC mk17 flashhider in earlier photos. Â - Piano
Corrigan
Do SFWs belong in this thread?
TheFull9
Well, they're definitely AR-15s. Historically they always have done.

SgtBojangles
For someone who holds the magwell when firing, I'm sure it works wonderfully. I don't know if I'd put it there myself, but to each their own.
Noveske
Thanks for the pictures, Noveske. If you can take a muzzle shot so I can see how close to the rail the lights sit?  -Piano  Here you go. Seems the Larue mount gives a bit more room between the mount and the top rail.
PianoBlack
Thank for the help, Noveske. I'll probably go the GS route unless Larue releases a VFZ-version of their LT752 mount. Â -Piano
aznriptide859
They should have the option for the VFC mount on their site.
validtumoralarm
Â G&P M4A1, just came in. Picture was taken with my phone right before the gun was locked up in the university police station for storage

How did they find out about your airsoft gun?

They didn't confiscate it, I took it in after I got it. Not worth the risk since I don't have any of my other gear here at the moment.
