Cannonfodder80
Another good one is Don't Cry For Me, Sergeant Major by Jeremy Hands and Robert McGowan. It's the Falklands conflict written from the perspective of a couple of newspaper reporters embedded with troops
Azubi
I've read both of their books. They did one about being on exercise in Europe after the Falklands which was of more interest to me. Both bloody good reads!
shmook
I'm away on Yorkshire at the weekend with the wife's family for an annual drinking session. It's a good weekend. However, the wife has gone up today taking the child and both dogs, so I've got 2 nights of me time. Bought a chromecast, currently scoffing KFC while streaming archer onto the tv, and drinking beer whilst doing *fruitcage* all else. Happy days!
hitmanNo2
That sounds like a top evening indeed.
shmook
Same again tomorrow, except pub first!
FireKnife
You know, not been to a pub in ages, really should considering there are a few, still non-Wetherspoon ones near me. Also just tried a bit of 144a in my M&P and XDM just to see how they feel. I find the XDM just feels like most non-large diameter bore guns on Ultra but the M&P is lovely, the snappiness is perfect and it recoils a lot smoother for follow ups. Might have to stick to it, plus means a tad less wear and tear (for the record, both are my indoor guns, in fact all my non-1911s are, and 144a is fine in all weathers for them). paranoiddroid
Ice cream.makes me happy and indoor guns? What you have guns you relegate to arsing round the house?
Hardcore1-6
With that amount of guns I don't think they can all be outside or indoor at the same time.Crazy cat ladies - they have cats in the front garden, all rooms of the house, back garden and at the neighbours house.FK is like that - with pistols
paranoiddroid
On the train today they had a decent beer!!! Still expensive buy black sheep will do on the journey to london
scorch
To London? Why did I have the idea you live in London? Also, Black Sheep is nice. They had it in the hostel I stayed at when I did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
FireKnife
FK is like that - with pistols Yeah, well sort of . I have pistols that I run during indoor games and a nice set of 1911s for outdoors. That way I get a nice mix and don't end up just running 1911s for everything. DeltaZero
Missus finally found a job down near me (she lives in Stansted, I live in Gatwick). After about a year (3 yr relationship, all long distance is a drag!) of us both looking to relocate in our fields to either place it's finally happened. Could not be happier! FireKnife
Now that is how you do an airport romance, eh? Yeah I will get my coat......... 'FireKnife'
darkchild130
My progress over the last two weeks has made me smile. I usually type approx 1000 words a day, but since I've been commissioned I've managed to average 2000 a day. I'm on fire! Darkchild
shmook
I can barely type this within a minute. Accidentally stayed in the pub far longer than intended. Second kebab of the week devoured...
Hardcore1-6
I watched 50 Shades last night. Walked in with a male friend, stood at the front and scanned the crowd. Regimental Sergeant Major sat there with a grin on his face. Claimed this morning it was for 'research'.Never seen so many people (women) use the toilet midway through the film.Heres a quick review:First third was a really bad rom-com. Middle third added an autistic billionaire trying to tell a virginal student that he thought she was pretty. Final third when the autistic billionaire doesn't get his way he brings our the psychopath, beats her til she crys and she leaves.1/10 - Would show to Nuns. Absolutely terrible film, awkward acting. Literally a rich guy takes advantage of a naive woman by being rich.

shmook
Well done for even going. I think I would rather cut my *rickroll* off with a spoon than watch that *suitcase*.
Habakure
Would rather watch Loose Women than that 'fifty shades'.
Mike_West
A friend of mine started sporking the 50 Shades book and asked me if I wanted to join. Around Chapter 9, IIRC. I signed off under the post where we got to Chapter 12 with "I'm sick to death with the awful legalese and I'm off to hang myself on my boxers." So yeah, I'm taking for granted that the movie is an inept attempt at polishing a turd.
Skarclaw
A friend of mine started sporking what the *fruitcage* is this?
darkchild130
We all need to remember that it is actually Twilight fanfiction written by some nerd with a rape fantasy, and that's the level of writing you should expect from it. Darkchild

hitmanNo2
I wonder how well 50 Shades of grey would go down if it was written by a male considering the full spectrum of abuse it describes towards women.
