hardboiledcop
do you mean the trigger disconnector? if so, I'd say yes if I were at my london apartment, sadly I was hospitalised the other day so I won't get back there for a while.. ask P360M, he usually has spares floating about. -- Little Q here for those with their finger on the pulse of metal kits coming out of JP. Has anyone heard of an SW1911PD metal kit on the horizon? or possibly a 5 inch sw1911 kit with the "smith and wesson" trades instead of the ghastly "SW1911" ones. cheers. Mathub
Yeah, the trigger disconnector, the one pushed by the trigger bar, that release the sear.
hitmanNo2
I was thinking about getting a Creation desert warrior set from Airsoftglobal.com There are 2 sets one was $255usd and the other is $450usd snip... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure there was a thread about this somewhere, but I can't find it. I think it was thought it was duplicate listing. Try and order the cheaper one. You'll probably get told it was an erroneous listing and get you to order the $450 one. hardboiledcop
anyone here ever refinished (by that I mean spray painted) a Prime Alu kit? I'm looking to two tone my V10 but I''m not sure what paint to use, and should I strip the original paint first (ie soda bath)..
hitmanNo2
hbc, your V10 shouldn't have any paint on it. If you wanted to do it properly, I would anodise it black and then sand down the flat areas you want silver.
Lithium Jack
Sup guys. Does anyone know if there's any way to get hold of a couple of officer-style metal slides, without the metal frames? I'm lusting after a pair of compacts, but I can't afford to spring for the Prime kits.
pedrosalas7
who knows where to buy metal slides for SCW guns, i've been looking everywhere for one for my soon to arrive SWAT custom II, but all out of stock except for the metal kits which are too expensive and infinity slides for SV models. -Pedro Salas. Lithium Jack
I'm pretty sure ALL of the major retailers have at least some metal slides in stock. Might help if you were more specific as to what you want. Theres about a million billion aftermarket slides for WA 1911s Edited April 16, 2007 by Lithium Jack
pedrosalas7
i know... there are trillions of slides for WAs but most are out of stock everywhere... i checked uncompany, redwolf, wgcshop, even retailers in the us and nothing... i'd like wilson or kimber trademarks. -Pedro Salas. Lithium Jack
dentrinity has the goods. I just got a Kimber slide from them last week.
dj_unforgetable
Hi guys, no pics from me :-( But if you guys can point me to a thread (or page) illustrating how to install (or completely disassemble) a marui 1911 for a pgc metal body installation, that'd be great! Evilgenius
After becoming increasingly jealous of the guns on here I've decided I'd like to join in the fun. So before I spend money that I cant really afford can anyone tell me if this Will work with this
Mathub
evilgenius, yes it will work. pedrosalas, finding a wilson scw slide is nearly impossible, at least in 5 inch. You can always find ones for 4.3. Shooters design makes a lot of kimber scw slide, just take a look at dentrinity.
Moriquende
Hello there fellow 1911 lovers I'm leaning towards getting a 1911, but I don't know wether to get a older styled frame with duck or beavertail grip safety. If I go with the duck tail I'll get a WA 1911A1. If decide to get one with the beaver tail I might go with a S&W 1911 or a non-railed Kimber. Also, another deciding factor is that I have no idea which gun has the most metal kits avaible. I was hoping that you people might be able to shine some light on the matter
Sao
www.whatareweyoursearchbitches.com Just search Dentrinity, WGC shop for the range of slides and frames

Moriquende
Sorry, should have looked at the usual shops before asking. Now that I have looked I think I'll go with a SCW 3 S&W 1911. But I haven't been able to even find any metal kit's for the older SCW2 versions, so would a kimber perhaps be a better choice for getting a full metal kit? Edited April 16, 2007 by Moriquende
Sao
SCW2 & SCW3 metal kits will fit any SCW2 or SCW3 gun.
Moriquende
oh, I thought that SCW3 used a diffrent hammer or gas system?
hardboiledcop
Yes, but.. SCW2 & SCW3 metal kits will fit any SCW2 or SCW3 gun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> now where are all the pictures?
Moriquende
Eek, what happened to the last two sentences of my post? Anyway, Thanks for the info Sao

Jagdraben
Finally got my Safariland 6004 for 1911s with SureFire X200-series lights... will post as soon as I get some pictures taken (which may not happen until my real steel Kimber Desert Warrior shows up). Just a side note, but while CopsPlus markets it as being 'Flat Dark Earth', the packaging indicates it as being 'Brown' and it appears to be a fairly good match for my CB CamelBak.
