TheLair
Is it burst capable? That may be why, Im not really sure. It could be because thats what they've got lying around. Im not the right person to ask, but that would be my guess
PvtRyan
The A2 was burst-capable; the A1 had the fully-automatic function, I think. Not entirely sure, so correct me if I'm wrong.

TheKurodaVagrant
Quick Question... I've been wondering why the Navy Seals use the old A1 reciever on the Mk.18 Mod.0 ....? The only positive thing I can see is that it has the straight grip, but it just looks ugly....  Doesn't seem to fit in with the whole RIS thing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  The Navy SEALs to not use the Mk. 18 Mod 0, the Navy VBSS uses that gun, which is a complete product. The SEALs use the upper receiver assembly only and attach it to an M4A1's lower receiver.  As to why they use the A1 lowers on the Mk18, I have no idea. Maybe LMT/CRANE was able to buy them for cheap from various armories. The USAF was using older M16s for quite a while.

Your speculation on why LMT/CRANE uses the old A1 lowers is also correct...comparable to how the USAF still have re-fitted GAU-5s in their armory today, even though they're being phased out by M4A1s. Still seems strange to use the A1 lower reciever though!

Carter
Are there specific chargers for Li-Poly batteries? If so, where does one find them? Radio Shack type place? Â EDIT: Is there any other type of battery that can fit in the stock tube? Edited October 14, 2007 by Sgt. Carter
Nervikaire
You NEED an Li-PO charger to charge those batteries, or it will prolly go BOOM Got my Li-PO and my charger through here: Only Battery Packs But they are many places that sell quality Li-PO chargers, just take a look on ebay and remember that a charger's price is often an indicator of it's quality. newhotness
My first attempt at a dirty weapon, I think I went a little overboard. Â Â Â Â I like it. hvnt touched the RIS yet, waiting for my M203 to come in first.
Souske
Good start for a really worn look, but you should also thin out the other parts that didn't have much wear on it...so some parts won't look 'extremely worn' and others 'extremely fresh.'
Vamp V^^V
It does look worn, but what colour is that supposed to be..?
The Crunchy Bunny
The charging handle (for example) needs to be more worn, since on the Real Steel it is one of the most used parts.
newhotness
Yea, I just had a little fun, its only an JG. The Colors I used were Tamiya Tan with brown stripes. It got to the point where I was huffin thinner for over 30 mins, couldnt take it any more. I'll go back an do some more damage when I get some time this week.

Instead of using thinner, you should try using acetone (or nail polish remover). Less corrosive on the parts, and not as toxic (though still require ventilation).
