DWells55
Yes, I realize ACU + old timey looking photo doesn't make any sense. Realized that half-way through Photoshopping and just kept going anyways.
Pkekyo-Nor
if anyone gives you any *beep* about it, just say it's a futuristic work of art

DWells55
if anyone gives you any *beep* about it, just say it's a futuristic work of art Haha, I like that. I'll wind up doing it again once I can find my atlas, a decent deck of cards, and a good knife to throw into the picture instead of the ACU.
k30dxedle
Er, the 5.56 doesn't particularly work either. just messing with you. Edited June 2, 2008 by k30dxedle

davedawg123
Maybe his barrel isn't screw in all the way? I know the chambers sometimes (or is it usually) come with an o-ring that makes the barrel stick out a bit. I want a metal version of that. Hopefully TM's MEU will be out soon. tomo
very nice, but these are the proper grips: also, whats that at the end of your barrel? -Joe The grips came from a gun shop in the US (via ebay) can't remember who exactly, it was a few years ago now, however you can still buy them here. Old version maybe? Lol- I must have just cleaned the thing when I took that photo and not screwed the barrel back in properly, it doesn't look like that now Edited June 3, 2008 by tomo

Carter
Or its metal content?
cortes_
I think it will be a bit more expensive than 1911A1 but not a lot more. And everything that was metal in 1911A1 should be metal in MEU... but that is just my thinking.
WhutJP
you can pre order them at this store in japan, and they say it will come out in July. massoh2
Hey there, 1911 experts! I'm planning on doing a cosplay for a certain anime character, and would like some help trying to find an airsoft pistol that looks similar to this one: Please excuse the blood; he's a vampire. Any solutions are welcome, from spring to gas pistols, to plastic to metal, but the cheaper, the better. Basically the most I'm willing to do is 200 or so. I've been looking at WE's as a good choice, because they're cheap, but so far I haven't found a WE in that length and color. Any ideas as to being able to put the "Bloody Rose" markings would be welcome as well. They're not absolutely required, but I'd still like to hear solutions! The grips are wood; checkered or not checkered is not a big deal. I'm most concerned about just nailing the overall look; but I want to keep some distinctive features, namely the sight, hammer, grip (with the lip sticking out in the magwell area), and as close to length as possible. I want the sight that's as pictured in the color pictures by the way. The black/white one is inaccurate. The vents are a plus, but definitely not required. Again, thanks for your time + help! -Marcus Edited June 5, 2008 by massoh2
Whitedingo
So you need a (roughly) 8" slide 1911 w/ a hybrid barrel system, extended dust cover, and a modified trigger guard on a caspian(esque) flared single stack frame....not gonna happen for 200 or less. It's gonna be a custom job to get even close to right. Closest I know of is the WA Hardballer. But even that's just a longer slide 1911, none of the fancier stuff you're looking for. And it's $230 I'd say buy a few springers and do a custom project over a few weekends. Edited June 5, 2008 by Whitedingo
fal
hm...perhaps you can use WE 1911 caspian as a base and install nineball 7inch slide+barrel+recoil kit on it. Also replace ring hammer with some sort of spur hammer. Perhaps that's closest you can do. http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...at_WE%20Pistols http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...20for%20Pistols http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=NB-PT-HC51CSU http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...%20BALL%20Parts http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...SPB_srch_hammer Keep in mind that you will need to source front and rear sight. Either buy secondhand/broken hicapa 5.1 to get the sights off or source sights alone.
WhutJP
you want cheap? and something that is not necessarily effective as an airsoft weapon? well, if you can find it, this gun here would be a good start - http://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp/cgi-bin_ex/op...;sr=&page=1 (the one at the bottom of the list) they are only about 40-50US, fisxed slide gas guns, but for a prop they would do the trick... but if you want something better then 200 is going to be a hard budget to stick to... massoh2
Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys! WhutJP, that sounds like a very good solution right now. Does anyone know any good places to purchase that AMT Hardballer by Tokyo Marui? And whether or not you can attach a different rear sight to it? Lastly, anybody have any good custom ideas for getting "Bloody Rose" and "Crossing" on the slide? I found this one little thing, anybody know about pricing?: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/news2/wp-co.../HCPCK76SVL.jpg "Prime Hard Baller Metal Body Conversion Kit for WA SCW 2 – Brand new from Prime is this fantastic metal body kit. I'd say around $200 for a full metal kit? Since I assume it doesn't need to be functional, I would stick to plastic springers. The trigger guard looks like an HK Mk23 trigger guard btw.
