davedawg123
HBC, I think the forward bit is typical with Prime kits. It was the case with mine and the same for the other Prime kits I saw in the this thread.
hardboiledcop
ah well, I thought that might be the case, since it functions perfectly..
tangman
Me and my brother's NSW P226's are the same too, you can see on the bottom of page
hardboiledcop
Have you tried dual wielding them? Â I can imagine it'd be great until you run out of bb's.. since its hard enough for me as a leftie to reload with just one of em! Â ta.
tangman
Can't say I have! If I were reloading though I'd do it like Castor Troy in Faceoff
amateurstuntman
I have two P226s and I have no problem releasing the slide with my left hand. I use the catch but you could try garment snaging the rear sight and pulling the slide back off the catch that way?
hardboiledcop
Brilliant! thankyou AS.. Â I didn't realise you could disengage the slidestop by pulling the slide back the extra couple of mm.. Â cheers. Â edit- one other thing, are there any luminous sights available for the 226? I've had a shufty at a few AS retailers and drawn a blank.. Edited June 13, 2007 by hardboiledcop
bilabong32
Check online at RS dealers and you might be able to find something.
hardboiledcop
I have found a few nice looking tritium sights.. they're very similar to kimber sights (they're about 2cm long and slant from the rear).. Â However, since realsteel sights dovetail into the slide. does the TM sight do the same? or does it merely screw in from the inside of the slide Edited June 13, 2007 by hardboiledcop
bilabong32
I am not sure I will go take a look at my gun right now and try to figure that out. Â Edit: Ok so I am looking at it right now and it looks as if the back ones screw in and the front ones dovetail. Correct me if I am wrong. pokethepope
AS did it wih real steel trijicons: Â http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...topic=93044&hl=
Aitch
the front one slides in and is pinned from below by some awkward pain in the cock of a split pin type thing, iirc the rear sight slides on and sits in held by a screw through mech.
davedawg123
IIRC, the front sight is pushed down and secured with a clip, and the rear sight is dovetailed and secured with screws.
0nslaught
HBC, very nice 226. i was very tempted to buying that exact gun, but i thought it was crazy to spend that much on a pistol, so i got the WGC custom PGC p226 Â non railed p226 so nice...your making me miss my p226
hardboiledcop
it's only crazy until you've done it... then you find yourself doing it again and again
amateurstuntman
Neither sight is dovetailed on the standard marui, the front is held by the silly plastic thing and the rear is held just by the two screws throught the blowback engine. Â The RS replacement screws have to be dovetailed. Â With a good quality metal slide (like the Prime) the metal is strong enough to cut your own dovetails into it. Just remember, you can always remove more metal, you can't put it back.

ferretkiller
Those are incredible. It kind of makes Me want a p226 now too. I love how slim they are.
hardboiledcop
they're actually thicker than the stock grips, but the smooth finish means they're a really snug fit in your palm.. really very nice, and actually a tad darker than the pictures would lead you to believe.. Smurf
Holy ######, that looks soo sweet. I think that has just made me definately want to get some wood grips for one of my p226's now.

hardboiledcop
perfect. not one hiccup, but then mine is an Uncustom so the installation was top notch
pokethepope
TBH i normally prefer the look of the railed P226 (seems im like the only person on this board who prefers the railed version) but that P226 is nigh on perfect with the wood grips HBC.
