the cleaner
Seeing as no-one has done it yet, here are my two-tone TM's that arrived today. They are friggin bright I can tell ya heheheh. . I actually kinda like it.. . kinda reminds of copper as it patinas/oxidizes. . but a copper firearm wouldn't really make sense now would it. you can always strip the paint. . adhere copper leaf (like gold leaf) to it ..and then use the chemicals to patina/oxidize the copper. . then you'd get some real cool greenish/coppery/bronzish look to it. . Yeah seriously I just spent some money on TK spacers to put Hi Capa slides on my 1911, to have the newer look and now this?

berkelsk
You know, I wasn't really that big of a fan of the Deutonics at first, but I think its starting to grow on me.
Senor Bear
You know, I wasn't really that big of a fan of the Deutonics at first, but I think its starting to grow on me. That isn't a Detonics.... It is some sort of compact WE 1911 model. Edited December 13, 2007 by Senor Bear
berkelsk
Really? This is what I get for posting before I've had enough time to really wake up. Oops Edited December 13, 2007 by berkelsk
hkssr20det
Ummm...yeah that was a WE. I do own a Detonics, but I am waiting on a slew of parts before I post pictures again: SD Slide SD Recoil Spring DB Customs Tight Bore PDI Hammer PDI Recoil Guide Rod PDI Recoil Guide Bushing Guarder Hi Flow Now I just need everything to clear customs. Cam Keo SOC16
How do you like the WE? How's it compare to your other pistols when they were stock?
hkssr20det
Eh, pretty blah. Better than I had thought it would be, but overall sub par. With a few simple swaps for TM parts, it has come around some. I have a thread up on the whole thing here. It has initial impressions and results from this round of upgrades. Romulus
It's quite a statement to find that putting TM parts in a gun make it almost usable. That's a heck on an endorsement for buying a TM in the first place. Nice work on this project hkssr20det.
nine
I dont recommend WE, one of my teamates has a M1911a1 model and it really suck. I would expect worse from a compact WE, buy a TM
krame
TM PGC Delta Elite I have a trigger, guide rod and grips on the way so this look won't last long.
Romulus
Looks good. I'm glad that you got it together without any problems. It needs new grips though. What do you have coming in?
krame
These. I wanted something simple and cheap. I couldn't find any delta grips other than ones similar to what you have and I don't want wraparounds. It really wasn't that bad in terms of fitting the kit. All the parts fit perfect. Only problems where the rear rails on the frame and the chamber locks. They only need a little filing though. Edited December 14, 2007 by krame
