That_One_Person
We can't have HKs in the Armalite thread... Nice guns otherwise. So all guns with a Bushmaster, KAC, Colt, FN, or special body/others don't belong?
T.P.Evan
So all guns with a Bushmaster, KAC, Colt, FN, or special body/others don't belong? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> An HK 416 is NOT an Armalite. It uses the same external parts but works on a different piston system than the true Armalites (in terms of real-steel)... It's just like calling a vz. 58 a Kalashnikov (which I got drilled on by Jagdraben-thanks buddy ). It works on an entirely different system than the original Kalashnikov. That is my basis. Milla
Finally someone tries to make their gun look AR10ish instead of like an SR25. Nice work and +1 for you . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ive never seen an AR-10 that looked like that.

So if I pretend my airsoft armalite has piston internals it's not an armalite anymore? Armalite is a relative term. 416s are armalites because they look like armalites, you're not fooling anyone. Why not quote FarEast's GR300 while youre at it? They use gas pistons too. Guess we need a ZM thread now, right? Edited November 28, 2006 by SilentScope
Cpt. Shadow Fox
Using this logic none of the rifles in this thread belong here. Airsoft guns don't use real-steel AR-15 pistons do they?

That said, I don't honestly see the problem with Vz58s in Kalashnikov threads or HK416s in AR-15 threads. Of course, I don't see the problem with Type 89s and SA80s in Armalite threads, either....
