Vercingetorix
OK, Silencers are just more money and wieght anyway.... So I think a Kobra, R-S Plum mags and Front grips, VFC GP-30, R-S butpad and sling, and a kobra optic when I have the money... I already have an eotech, so is it possible to get a rail like that on a beryl, and put it on VFC's AKS74N? That way I can switch back and forth and get a magnified scope for the AK, while still being able to switch to fast target aquisition... PLus, PSO/POSP scops look so sexy
BoE.Solidius
HAHA Well if you have the money for that stuff then go right ahead. Thats the main reason I never finished my RUSSIAN PARA loadout because the optics and the mounts where to much money. Â I suggest you also look into wood for the foreams. Plum coloring on AKs only belong on the mags. A real AK should have wood but thats me . OR you could get plum forearms and use steel King Arms AK mags, that would look sexy. lovecraft25
no the ACM stocks are stupidly made for 47 bodys and then the stock will have aweird angle on the AKM body  RMW AKM kit that's Marui compatible has the AK47 angle. Thereby you can install the steel ACM DDR stock on it, You just have to play a little with a Dremel. That's what I did for the AIR / AIMR that I build few days ago.  If you wan't to install a real DDR / Romy folding stock, you'll have to use a full RMW AKM kit... what I did with my own AIR the last year. Oh... and here, you'll have to play A LOT with a Dremel. Edited April 16, 2008 by lovecraft25
my_plague_666
AKS74M Â FYI, theres no such thing. thats an AKS74N, N means that it has the sidemount. the AK74M (notice no 's') has a solid polymer folding stock. Â lovecraft, you can just buy the TM compatible AIMS recievers from RMW rather than buying a full kit.
ComradeMP1
You guys mean the Inokatsu steel receiver kit for TM? Â http://www.russianmaniaworkshop.com/detail...M-05&cat=11 Â Bought one of these back when Inokatsu just came out, needed to add the stock assembly on it from my old TM AK. It's quite nice. Â There's also this, it's more expensive http://www.russianmaniaworkshop.com/detail...M-03&cat=11 Edited April 16, 2008 by ComradeMP1
Jumprefusal
So what are the options for the retarted receivers then? Real Romy stocks? Or is it not worth the effort and we should just buy the "right" one?
lovecraft25
lovecraft, you can just buy the TM compatible AIMS recievers from RMW rather than buying a full kit.  Ok, stock is attached via the tang, and the back of the receiver has the right angle ...but that's 155 $ for a stock... no, thanks. ^^ Like I said, an AKM kit + a Dremel + a real folding stock = full steel replica. And the full AKM kit is only 40 $ more than the AIMS Marui receiver by itself, lol. Think about the avantages (no need to buy a separate KA or G&P rear sight block...) and do the maths  Now, back to the pictures please ^^ Edited April 16, 2008 by lovecraft25

mightyjebus
looks good however on some bits it looks like it has been sanded. It might be worth getting some fine wet and dry paper and try to remove the sanding marks for that ultimate finish. The handguards let it down slightly as they just look like they have just been sanded a bit. heres my top tip for making them look abused. Take them off, throw them into the garden, rub a bit of mud into them then wash off the mud and refit.
srcm4
Thanks, Ill try both of those.
my_plague_666
i heard a good way to produce the silvering effect on gun parts (from constant use, rubbing on clothing etc) is to use a scotch brite pad to just wear away the finish as it leaves no scratches, just wear. might be worth trying that on some parts too. The Crunchy Bunny
Hmm, scotch brite pad. There's one in my kitchen right now. I'll go try it and post up some pics.
