TerranCmdr
No, that's okay. I knew there was definitely some work involved installing them. I think that might be a good summer project for me. Anyway thanks for following up my question. They look great.
hitmanNo2
airwolfie, have you painted the controls silver on your P226?
airwolfie
what kind of sand paper do you need to sand? i love the silver looks, but i don't know how do to them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â Â get some fine wet n dry(i thinkit was 200, not sure), a flat smooth surface like a mirror(that's waht i used), wet the paper and then just slide the slider(after you have taken it off the frame and removed all the bits!!!!) from left to right or right to left in a straight smooth motion(make the motion to be to the length of the slide otherwise you won't get that "brushed" effect)(if you know what i mean!!) what happens then is the bits that are protruding(the ones that are bare now!!! ) will be sanded down. make sure you keep the paper wet as it prevents clogging. also make sure you have a lot of time!!! took me just over 2hrs to do!!! and thats JUST the sides of the slide!!! if you do get abrasions elsewhere, just get some krylon and correct it afterwards. Â @ tommygun, thanx but i have gotten used to the release being on the side it is!! i did have it the other way round whith the stock frame, but on trying to do this on the metal frame i found there is no tapped screw hole on the right side to fit the stop on!!!! so i had to live with it. still i love me 226......... Â Â @ hitmanNo2, the controls are actually glass beaded as i am blessed with working at a workplace that actually does have one!!! i'm sure you could stick some paintstripper on to remove the black, but don't quote me on that as i havent tried it.... or even sanding them down with sandpaper(which was my first intention, but then i remembered the beads at work!!!) Â @ Lithium Jack, thanx for the comment, appreciate it!! Â i will post some more pics once i got me silver outer barrel!!!! Edited December 20, 2006 by airwolfie

btw, a scene from "The Unit" that is a 552 right? what kind of rail is on top? is it something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/King-Arms-Flattop-Aimp...oQQcmdZViewItem seems like the rear sight has been removed. Is it possible on the TM one?  would it be kind high to mount a Aimpoint or an ACOG on there?  final one, is it possible to make a 552 look like the second one? flat top rail with no rear sights? W.K.Shuridys
Bit of real steel okay?   Don't have it anymore, sadly. The only thing that remains in my collection is the Tokarev.  +1 to anyone who can identify every gun by make and model number. Hint: the K-frame has a smaller bore than a .38, and is sub-20s model number.

no1rc3ur
silver barrel by guarder. i don't know why, but it is such a loose fit, seems like the inner barrel assembly is gonna fall off. any solutions to this? trfo2o
my ol' guarder threaded barrel back when I had a P226 was a loose fit too.
no1rc3ur
really, any problems shooting the gun? loose fit makes me uneasy
trfo2o
no problems, if you don't plan to upgrade to using a silencer. I use to have a King Arms scorpion 9mm replica silencer and it would dip down and cause some bbs to hit the inside of the can, all do to the outter barrel being a loose fit.
Chris781
I've notice with the Guarder threaded barrel when taking my silencer off and putting it on, the barrel will not hold the silencer in place and it would wobble. Edited December 23, 2006 by Chris781
amateurstuntman
I put a spring around the inner barrel that pushed against the ridge on the inside of my guarder barrel. it keeps the guarder barrel where it should be. Photos soon. Â Stunt
pokethepope
hmmmm, thats interesting about the Guarder barrels, i may go for a VFC threaded barrel then and sand the chamber. Edited December 23, 2006 by pokethepope
