TeowneD
The Firing-Pin Line. hey mate how do you hold the BBU in place without the screw where the firing pin would be? or is the firing pin actually a screw in itself
Squad 701
Where did you buy the fake firing pins Squad ?? Hey KA, As far as I know these are only available in Korea. They are quite expensive for what is basically a hollowed version of the original hex-screw, with a threaded inside for a small cap that has to be fitted carefully with a needle. (TeownD) I just thought it would give my 1911s a more finished look, but as I said at $25 a go, they are quite expensive. A lot of Airsoft shops in South Korea do not export items out of the country, so maybe send forum-member 'Volante' a PM, and he might be able to help. Cheers.

PureSilver
What's the compact in the corner based on? Oh - and you're not finished until you have PRIME's new Ultra RCP II.

Squad 701
What's the compact in the corner based on? Oh - and you're not finished until you have PRIME's new Ultra RCP II. Finances dictate I'm finished for now ;-) The lower right is Kimber Ultra CDP II (WA). It will be interesting to see if RA Tech change the frame profile in their second batch of Royal IIs, either way if I had the cash, I'd build an unrailed full size SIS, Ultra SIS or RCP II. But with the downturn in the Euro against the Dollar, time to back off a bit, or else it's sell a Kidney time :-)

TheFull9
I am bright *fruitcage* green with envy looking at that picture Squad. That Desert Warrior is the next 1911 on my hit list.
bladerunner168
Indeed, very nice set. Does anyone know where you get spare Hurricane Kimber sights?

Next up will be SIS unrailed full size and Ultra TLE II, Nice Raptor though, love the grips. Both Raptor's have the standard Kimber Raptor grips, the 2T ha the real steel grips (available only with real Kimber Raptor) and the black has Altamont grips. TheFull9
Niiice. I really, really need me one of these Desert warriors. Better get my holster ordered now thinking about it, given the nature of the companies that produce them for railed 1911s, it'll probably take a fair while.
Im going space
CKinnerly try the FOBUS EMC. Mike cripps has them, about £25, allows the use of torches ect. Theyre quite nice. (belt holster)

ollie_ty
Whats the final verdict on those Army Kimbers? Worth buying one?
sunburnthammer
Not epic out of the box performance wise, but a great looking gun, and certainly the cheapest kimber option out there. Ditch the stock mag and use TM MEU ones. Consider adding the reaps system as a cheap way to improve range and accuracy.
chas
Exactly.
skyrider1
I had an army meu and the stock fit and finish was pretty bad. It shot fine, but there was rattle everywhere and nothing was really too smooth. Sold it right when I got it. At the time I was spoiled by a NOVA kit though.
