Mental Medic
The CASV looks nice with a 10.5" barrel and an M93 stock on it. I see you have the battery in the handguard, but have you ever tried to fit a small lipo in the stock tube?
Keket
So my m4's metal body snaped, leaving me without a cqb/urban gun, with my TM m16 being too long i decided to see if the front from my ics m4 will fit on it. Yep looks funky, but it works, guna get a new stock tube so i can put my le stock on it.
MrManiac
My first post on this thread (gulp!) I was bored with the standard A&K LR300 look, so thought i'd update it to look like the 2006 LR300 AXL version. Real steel versions: Parts used: A&K LR300 (base gun), MadBull dissipater barrel, MadBull Black Python tightbore inner barrel, D-Boys skeleton adjustable folding stock, D-Boys front and rear BUIS, Star RIS II kit, Standard clone M4 top receiver, Guarder Hop bucking, It was a real pain to do as the top receiver RIS rail height was taller than the standard M4, it was also thicker in width, so the Star RIS II fore stock I had bought wouldn't fit! Luckily a team mate of mine had a spare M4 top receiver i could use in its place, this however ment the cocking handle had to be changed along with the dust cover door, which now didn't fit right so it was ditched, this was a blessing as its a spring shut type, which is a pain to open mid game with gloves, on when you want to adjust the hop!! I think it turned out OK for a first project, I still need to give it a coat of black paint. Edited August 16, 2009 by MrManiac
masakarijoe
thats freaking awesome. thats the version that i already have on order (real steel) that is due out from para-usa in a few months. the perfect rifle. there is a reason that the receiver was higher on your upper, as the LR300 has a different internal system. but nontheless, that is a fantastic build. awesome job! -Joe

AnotherJesus
2006 LR300 AXL Any plans to change the pistol grip, or mill down that barrel? Personally I think your version looks better than the real thing But it's a very good copy given what was available, well done.

Personally I think your version looks better than the real thing But it's a very good copy given what was available, well done. Thanks its my first attempt at an AEG, I usually only do 1911's I rather like the ZM grip, as it is far more comfortable than the standard one, which they now fit Regards the barrel, yes I could have just used the original A&K one but I liked the look of the ParaUSA solid barrel (ParaUSA are now building this gun under licence) it just looked meaner And thanks 'masakarijoe' Yes the 'DIGS' (ParaUSA) system I believe is the reason for the receiver height difference as you say. I wish I could have got the fore stock to look more like the real one Wonder if the real steel fore stock would fit a Marui based gun? I just loved the look of the AXL the moment I saw it Hope your real steel version is all you wished for, Todd Jarrett certainly thinks so, he's been shooting them for years
