binarypunisher
It is a low profile battery pack for ANVIS - it takes AA batteries in the two removable trays. If you want better pics LMK.
validtumoralarm
I'm ALMOST done with my MICH TC-2001 (waiting on Norotos and Bowman headset in the mail) but before I go and paint it or make another serious change I have a question... Â Which unit(s) uses(s) the 2001? I'm hoping SEAL's, as that's the direction I'd like to go with my new US Spec Ops impression, but I haven't seen very many reference pictures. Wrench Bender
I am pretty sure you would be just fine wearing that with a sqeals loadout. Edited June 4, 2009 by Wrench Bender
validtumoralarm
Cool, thanks. Anything else I should know about them?
Wrench Bender
About them helmet? I have only handeled them in a shop a couple of times. Â About SEALs? There are plenty of folks on this forums who already know more than they really know about SEALs. I will keep out of that line of assumptions.
validtumoralarm
Sorry for being vague... Â I meant info about the helmets. I just kind of want to get a feel for which groups use them and why they would be chosen over the -2002 and -2000

Billy Bob the Sniper
My latest...    SDS 'Warrior' Ir patches Strobe Goggle retention straps     I am going to put a rhino plate on it for now, until I can get a good deal on a Norotos. I don't want to drill three holes in a real helmet for a fake mount that might break when a night vision unit is on it.
gerrysnaps
NVM. Outdated comment, didn't realize how far behind I was on this thread. Edited June 6, 2009 by gerrysnaps
[BS]_MARS
My half ear MICH. Anvis w/ battery pack, IR tab up top, bunny ears, and a bungee for retaining a helmet cam when mounted on the right side. Â Edited June 12, 2009 by [BS]_MARS

Hispeed1
Nice mount BSMars, how about securing the front wiring next to the ANVIS mount with some velcro. I'd hate to see the wiring/plug get snagged on something and get ripped off the mount or the end by the battery. By the way, are you selling it? I saw an eBay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ANVIS-AN-AVS-9-Mount-S...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Edited June 30, 2009 by Hispeed1
[BS]_MARS
I suppose I could secure that a little more. Also, that is my ad, you should buy it!
The Crunchy Bunny
Grr. I really want ANVIS. If I had another 2001 I would buy that today. Â On CAG lids, when you see the power cord running along the outside of the MICH, is it covered by tape or velcro?
[BS]_MARS
I've only seen velcro. I'm sure you could use tape but velcro is reusable and removable if you need it to be.

But I've seen pics of the AWG helmets with tape on the wiring of their ANVIS and it was spray painted tan.
