Land Warrior Airsoft have a new rifle from PTS in stock:
We now have in stock the long awaited PTS Syndicate Airsoft Mega Arms 308 MML MATEN gas blowback rifle!
The PTS Mega Arms MML MATEN Gas Blowback Rifle replicates the very distinctive looking Mega Arms’ MML AR-10 platform. The proprietary Mega MML platform interfaces the 14 inch MLOK compatible aluminum rail with the billet style aluminum receiver in a manner that gives the entire assembly virtually the strength and rigidity of a monolithic upper. The rifle has a 16 inches long barrel which strikes the best balance of portability and range performance befitting a DMR (designated marksman rifle) style rifle. It is capable of select fire including safe, single shot, and three round burst. The PTS Mega Arms MML MATEN GBBR standard equipment also includes our proprietary design PTS Enhanced Polymer Grip, Enhanced BUIS (back up iron sights), Enhanced Polymer Magazine LR and Enhanced Polymer Stock.
We also have the redesigned Enhanced Polymer Foregrip 2 (EPF-2) vertical grips in both long and short, available in black and dark earth. The EPF2 has also been revised with lower profile on top to be able to mount on to a wider variety of railed handguards. Like its predecessor, it features a storage compartment with a sliding access plate at the base, and channels at the top for battery wiring to be able to pass through. This allows the EPF to hold certain airsoft appropriate lithium polymer batteries, such as an 11.1V 1000mah airsoft battery.

The guys at Airsoft Atlanta have been checking out the new Tippmann M4CQB HPA:
Airsoft Atlanta has reviewed the all new airsoft Tippmann CQB M4 HPA ‘ready out of the box’ gun on Youtube. A HPA tapped and ready to go M4 for $399. Utilizing standard M4 AEG style magazines, this is a bargain gun. No batteries or FCU programming needed. A purely mechanical beast of an airsoft gun. Full blowback recoil system. The gun only requires a remote line and paintball air tank to get started (non-SLP). For more info, see the video or Airsoft Atlanta.

Pro Airsoft Events have shared details of their next event:
PAE’s Battlesim games are for those players who want to experience something ‘more’ than just a skirmish. As such you should be prepared for something a little different than the average Sunday shootout. Make sure you read the extra Battlesim rules on the rules page (They’re at the bottom). If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask. There will be no lunch break on the day so be prepared to eat in the field.
After the bloody stalemate in what is now called the battle of Hertlovka woods both sides are scrambling to secure their lines across the country. The Ivankiv region has been seen a steady build of men and machinery looking to secure its material riches. Something which can’t happen while bullets are flying. MDF High Command has tasked Rhino Company of its Armoured infantry to secure the area. Unfortunately for the local commander the terrain has blocked all but one of their valuable armoured personnel carriers from reaching the staging area and radio communication with high command is disappearing the further they move into the mountains. The MOK have deployed the battle weary Patriot battalion with the task of digging into the mountainous forests. This build up has not gone unseen by either sides scouts watching from the various bits of high ground that dominate the region. In an effort to ease the knife edge tensions a prisoner transfer has been arranged, but will either side be willing to give up their hard fought prizes?
Moldenian Defence Force (21st Armoured Infantry, Rhino Company) – Desert Kit/Multicam
The MDF forces are hungry for revenge after the last battle. Rhino company has been tasked with securing the vast resources of the Ivankiv Region. A task made difficult thanks to the MDF High Command’s incompetency.Moldenain Oathkeepers (Patriot Battalion) – Green/Black/ Civilian Kit
The Patriot Battalion are a battle-hardened group supplied by the most experienced fighters the MOK has to offer. They are in good spirits after giving the MDF a solid fight in the last battle. However with the Griffin gone, command has been passed to the MOK’s top enforcer who will not tolerate failure.Booking website here: http://www.proairsoftevents.co.uk/product/flashpoint-moldenia-part-2-battlesim

Matt Furey-King is moving on from his role as UKAPU Chairman:
Matt Furey-King here. I’d like to announcing that I’m stepping down as Chairman of UK Airsoft Players Union. When I returned to the role as Chairman in 2015 my intention was twofold; to get the association back on its feet, and to make sure we had player representation throughout the Policing and Crime Bill passage. My return was only ever supposed to be temporary, the committee knew my intention from the start was to stand aside on the commencement date of the new law. So here we are.
I’m pretty disappointed that the PCA is still an open subject, that we still need to push the government for clarifications in order to find out how to comply with the new law. There’s some grey area which I think will one-day spell real trouble for some poor airsoft player. As much as I’m dying to help with this situation, I have to call it a day and move on. Unfortunately, other parts of my life have been suffering due to lack of attention, I’ve been so distracted by all this airsoft politics going on these last 2 years. My girlfriend Po Ling has been very accommodating but even her impressive patience with me is wearing thin! So it’s time to get my priorities straight. The way I see it I’ve done my bit and to be honest other people now need to step up to the plate.
I am massively proud of the work UKAPU has done. Over the last decade many hobbies have been restricted or eroded or banned in the UK, modern society doesn’t seem to have any room for people like us who like having fun in non-vanilla ways. But airsoft has not fallen, we’ve stood our ground, we’ve not been bullied and suppressed, we fought back on every level. It’s really impressive, and we have a bright future if we make this unity and determination a core part of our identity as UK airsoft players.
You might be worried that UKAPU is going to disappear when I go, as most of our announcements come with my name attached. But the reason you see so much of me and not much of the rest of the committee is because I have been the associations figurehead, actually there’s half a dozen people working hard behind the scenes that you don’t hear about. I have a huge amount of confidence in the remaining committee and the association. We have 4000 members, a great reputation and a great future. Let me tell you, the committee have some fantastic plans for the next few years that will be a huge lift for airsoft.
David Weston, UKAPU Vice Chair, has taken command of UKAPU. Soon he will hold a management meeting and the committee will select a new Chairman, and it would not be appropriate for me to preempt that vote. But there’s some really great guys working for UKAPU at the moment and I have every confidence in them to lead the association forward. That said, I won’t be disappearing completely and will still be available to help and advise them, if they so wish. Of course I’ll be an active UKAPU member and you’ll all see me around at airsoft games, as normal.
All that said, UKAPU does have a high turnover of volunteers (voluntary associations tend to, people’s circumstances change and they often run out of free time to commit). The committee already has a few vacant positions and, unless they can fill positions and spread the workload, the association could go into a downward spiral. So PLEASE, if you are a self-motivated and literate airsoft player and have some free time, give them a message on Facebook and volunteer for a committee position. Now is the time.
What’s next for me? Well, I’m pretty pissed off at the shambolic way the country is being run and politician’s dreadful attitudes towards civil liberties in general, not just the liberties of airsofters. So I’m thinking bigger, I’ve made a step into the wider world of politics and I’m running in the upcoming Parliamentary election. I’ve been selected as the Green Party candidate for Kingswood in Bristol. Green Party may seem an unusual choice for a firearms guy but I’ve found it to be a really inspiring movement, the Greens are very far from being the stereotypes people imagine they are. Yes, they do currently have an anti-replica policy in the manifesto but they have no commitment to it and I’m confident I can get them to change it. They didn’t know about airsoft skirmishing or the VCRA when they wrote it. They asked me to help them rewrite it many years ago but I never had the time, so it’s partially my fault. If you are interested, there’s some information about me as a candidate here http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/matt-furey-king-green-kingswood-63236
Later in the year I’m aiming to put more time into my airsoft channel, Claymore Airsoft TV. I’ve got some fun content planned so please give it a sub or a like if you want to see what airsoft shenanigans I’m up to.
https://www.facebook.com/claymoreairsofttv/ http://www.youtube.com/claymoreairsofttv
Huge thanks to all the people who have done so much to help me achieve my aims over the years, especially my fellow UKAPU committee members. I know UKAPU has a bright future ahead if all of you support the next leader of UKAPU in the same brilliant way you have supported me.
Kind Regards,
Matt Furey-King

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:
Dear Arnies Airsoft news,
We had another superb weekend at Tuddenham playing the Hunger Battles. We will be running another one later in the year – if you missed out this time make sure you make the next one!
For those of you in the SouthWest of the country, we will be doing the Hunger Battles all again at our Eversley site this weekend. This awesome game involves three to five teams battling to secure and hold onto enough resources to survive the scenario.
Next weekend we will be back at Tuddenham for our usual end of month skirmish madness. As rental equipment is limited, and the end of month events are getting packed out now the weather is warmer, please ensure that you book rental places in advance via the website. It would also be nice if walk-ons could drop us a message on Facebook or via email so we can get an idea of numbers – last month on the Sunday, less than 20 people said they were coming and we got hit with nearly 80 on the day! It really helps us to plan games more effectively if we have a good idea in advance of numbers and cuts down the amount of “last minute” game scenarios on the day.
The safe zone is now shiny clean (well, cleaner than we ever remember seeing it!) and we have begun repainting the walls. We will be gradually building more benches inside and possibly rearranging the layout, so bear with us if there’s not as much room to put your kit as normal – the more players who can use their car boots for the time being the better.
The excellent Team Green will be running a night game for us on the Saturday night (27th) again. Numbers will be capped at 30 to ensure a high quality of games, so we advise pre-booking on the website to avoid disappointment on the night. Also, the price is only £10 if you book in advance or £15 if there are spaces left on the door.
Regards,
Josh Smith
E&L rifles now available to order
If you’re looking for the best airsoft AKs going, we are now able to order in E&L airsoft guns at recommended retail price (we will even try and match Patrol Base on them!)
For those not in the know, these replicas are manufactured in a real steel factory and use proper wood grips (not plywood), stamped & chemical blued steel alloy receivers and trademarks. They are not a cheap (or lightweight) gun – but they are fantastic quality.
They also produce a range of M4 style rifles as well, so have a look at their product range and let us know if there is anything there that catches your eye.
We won’t be holding stock of them at this point due to the high price of them but we can special order them in for you (usually within a week – UK stock dependant). Get in touch with us for a quote.
