The ARP 9 isn’t the only AEG getting an upgrade this Fall. The new ARP 556 2.0 (SKU: EGC-556-V02-BNB-NCM) will be making its debut in September with the ARP 9 2.0.
This updated ARP 556 is equipped with a full aluminum M-LOK rail and detachable handstop. The iconic polymer receiver keeps the overall weight down yet durable. The new GOS-V9 minimalist retractable PDW-style stock gives you more space to fit your battery and can be adjusted to one of 5 positions. An optional battery extension unit (sold separately) will be available to maximize for even more space. The included 300-round high-capacity GMAG is made out of high-strength nylon reinforced polymer construction and comes with rubber texturized finger grooves for increased handling while reloading.
Internally, a 6.08mm 168mm inner barrel is installed, 40mm longer than the original. The polymer rotary hop-up chamber improves the consistency and precision of adjustments. As for the brains, an improved electronic trigger unit (E.T.U.) and the newest Gen 4. MOSFET is installed for crisp trigger pulls and enhanced battery protection.

Our most popular pistol caliber AEG is getting an upgrade with all-new external and internal advancements. The original ARP 9 was a huge hit when it was released and voted Best AEG by Popular Airsoft in 2018. Fast forward to 2022 we are looking to continue the success of the original ARP with the all-new ARP 2.0 (SKU: EGC-ARP-9V2-BNB-NCM).

This updated ARP 9 is equipped with a longer 7″ full aluminum M-LOK rail and detachable handstop. The iconic polymer receiver keeps the overall weight down. The new GOS-V9 minimalist retractable PDW-style stock gives you more space to fit your battery to reduce the need for a battery extension unit. In addition, we have increased the standard magazine capacity from the standard 60-round magazine on the original ARP 9 to a new larger capacity of a 170-round magazine with the ARP 2.0.
Internally, a longer 168mm inner barrel is installed as compared to the original 128mm length of the ARP 9. The polymer rotary-up improves consistency when adjusting your hop-up unit. G&G Armament have shared details of their new G2 Gearbox:
We took the existing version 2 gearbox and strengthen its structural design by adding extra material in the front. We’ve increased the front of the gearbox’s height by 70% and the front width by 74% thicker to prevent any front-end cracking from overuse.
Other improvements were a 50 percent size reduction of the current metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) found in the Combat Machine SR Series and an increase to the performance by 100%. Also, a built-in speaker in the electronic trigger unit (E.T.U.) to notify the player when the programming is properly synced. The ETU can be programmed to a 3-round or 5-round burst. Additionally, a warning sound will indicate when your battery is low to avoid any damage to your AEG. The warning sound can indicate the motor being jammed or spring cannot be compressed due to the low battery.
We upgraded the air nozzle with a double o-ring and cylinder head for improved air seal and compression, a quick spring change that allows a player to easily transit from outdoor and indoor feet per second (FPS) rules quickly, and a redesigned bevel gear for better engagement and performance. New technology was also added with a firearm simulation system which prevents the player from dry firing with an empty magazine inserted or a removed magazine. The only way you can fire is by inserting a fully loaded magazine.
A G2 proprietary magazine design will activate the power cut-off when the magazine is empty. A functional bolt lock for easier access to the rotary hop-up unit. A follower is installed in each G2 magazine to ensure seamless feeding and to prevent any wasted BBs from following out when the magazine is removed.
