Rob at Be-Well has mentioned that the MoD are clamping down on unauthorised sales of surplus ration packs. Best advice is as always to buy from  sources you know to be legitimate:

As you may be very well aware the MOD are finally clamping down heavily and stopping the sale of all ex-military ration packs be it via a retail shops, market stalls or eBay, so its a good time to maybe consider buyer directly from a manufacturer that makes both such specialised light weight freeze dried and wet rations.
