The UKAPU have announced the date and location of their AGM & invite all members to attend:
The Annual General Meeting of UKAPU will be in the early evening of Saturday 20th November 2010 in Worcester. All members are encouraged to attend.
In the same manner as every properly run association, at the AGM we will elect our officers, review the accounts, hear reports from committee members, set the subscription fee and discuss any matters which have been brought forward by members. Members may consider nominating themselves for a position. All executive committee positions are, of course, available to any full member. We may open up some ‘Interim Representative’ positions if there are volunteers who wish to become part of the UKAPU committee in this way, and there are always committee positions available for suitably motivated members.
As per the constitution, you may nominate yourself for chairman, treasurer, registrar, secretary or press officer. Members standing for election must be present at the AGM and must inform the secretary of their nomination in writing at least 45 days before the AGM (please email secretary@ukapu.org.uk before the 9th October). UKAPU members will receive a voting form at least 28 days before the AGM which should be returned by post if you cannot attend in person.
By now all full members should have received and email with full details. However, for those that have not checked, full details of the venue and times can be found on the member’s section of the UKAPU forums (http://www.ukapu.org.uk). If you are NOT currently a member but wish to attend, you can sign up for annual membership through the UKAPU website prior to the event.
