UK torch retailer TacLight now has stock of the latest Special Forces torch, the ArmyTek Predator. This rugged tactical flashlight has been built for extreme conditions and was originally designed for Special Forces and Survival. Despite its tough exterior, it has some very intelligent features.
The biggest feature of the ArmyTek Predator is its programmability – you can programme all the modes and setup the torch for specific situations. For example, in an airsoft CQB situation you may need to quickly activate the strobe mode at full brightness and high frequency. Or for hiking, you may need a very low mode to illuminate a map, a medium mode for tent use, a high mode to light-up the trail and an SOS mode in case you have to signal for assistance. Whatever the situation, this torch will adapt. It could be the only torch you will ever need.
The Predator is a serious piece of kit. ArmyTek designed this light in collaboration with Special Forces, and you can tell. It’s very tough, rugged and has both a crenellated tactical front bezel and a defensive scalloped tail cap. It’s fully waterproof, the head contains a deep, smooth reflector for maximum beam throw (up to 250 metres) and the body is finished with a very unique form of anodising, which makes the Predator look and feel indestructible. It is also the only flashlight in the world to have an emergency back-up circuit; so if the main circuit becomes damaged, the emergency circuit will provide 100 days of operation, making it good for survival situations.
