EVENTS for October
The Battle for Ia Drang pt2 ‘Broken Arrow’
October 20-21
GMA Eversley, Hampshire
£55 with a £25 deposit (please only pay the deposit)
Camping

Day 2. November 15th 1965. Return to X-ray

0620hrs a major offensive took place and all the lines were hit by continual attack. X-ray was in extreme danger of being overrun and Col. Moore pulled his men in tight and issued the order to throw smokes down on the perimeter as the order of ‘BROKEN ARROW’ had been issued and hell was about to be unleashed.

1000hrs after a 3hour battle and a pause in the fighting it’s been determined that the NVA have withdrawn from the engagement at X-ray and on the run. After pulling out of their forward position earlier that morning, the men of the 7th Calvary’s 1st Platoon of Alpha Company and 2nd platoon of Bravo are back to full strength again, after hooking up with re-enforcements and being re-supplied. Their mission is to find all the enemies forward CPs and destroy them. There are also the bodies of fallen comrades out in the field that need to be brought home.

The War in Vietnam has just started but the battle for Ia Drang is coming to a close. Reports of PAVN troops massing in the border and getting ready to move in have put pressure on the US to get the job done. By 2pm on the 16th November all troops need to be ready for evacuation and all bodies recovered from the field.

Good luck and may god be with you all…

Welcome to pt2 of Ia Drang. This event is a continuation from pt1 and will see the same units taking the field against the same foe. Spread across the whole site and with a dedicated US HQ with forward CPs, we’re in for a real treat. This game will feature it all, mortars, arty, air support and one of the best battlefields the UK has to offer.

Word from the front
Hi all, first up a huge thanks again for all your support through September, which is historically the worst month of the year.  Great numbers on all the sites meant epic battle could be had by all.  There are some big and small changes coming to GUNMAN over the next few months.  First up, you may have noticed the Admin is being done ‘properly’ at registration and some new forms are being filled in for rental.  This is due to some unfortunate incidences over the past 6 months and a general overhaul as Gunman has a new retailer on site.  The whole of GUNMAN is having a shake up and dead wood being let go, change is always hard but in this case we are one of the best and need to be run like it.  As always, the stalwart marshal team has been the back bone of GUNMAN and in that nothing needs to change!

Cheers all, Josh…out
