Hi all, we’re coming up to the last month of summer and what a great summer it has been.  Hot, not too rainy and a packed month of fun and games!  All the sites have been busy and we have had to take on a few more marshals across the board.  In short, one of the best summers we have ever had, so cheers to all for your support;)

Flushed by the apparent success of the ground war, in late 1965 the US government decides to escalate the conflict in Vietnam. The deployment of massive numbers of reinforcements combined with the losses sustained in campaigns the previous year forces the PAVN to go to ground in order to recover and resupply away from US interruption.

Noting the drop in enemy activity US forces have begun an aggressive campaign of expansion into hostile territory in order to root out the hidden enemy. Through the establishment of fortified firebases they are intent upon a dual ‘carrot and stick’ strategy to drive out communist forces. Aiming to win over local populations to deny the communists their support whilst simultaneously destroying their supply system the US forces hope to starve the enemy into submission.
In the district of Cu Chi, Northwest of Saigon, near the Cambodian border this task falls to one of these newly arrived units; the 25th Infantry Division. Here, at the newly established firebase William, elements of the 4th Bn. 9th Infantry must drive out the enemy, gain the trust of the local populace and secure the area for good.

Facing them is the 7th regiment of the 5th NLF division, with some local support. They have no intention of allowing the US forces to push them out of a long established communist stronghold and ultimately plan to do just the same to the US forces. First however they must regroup and rearm before taking the offensive. Under strength and poorly equipped they are forced to depend upon the local population for assistance. Assistance that is vital if they wish to continue to operate in the area. They must prevent the US gaining the upper hand in the support of the villagers or all is lost. This will truely be a battle for the hearts and minds…..

Battlefield Live Weekend – August Bank Holiday
August 24-25 at Tuddenham
£50 for the weekend with camping from Friday night through to the Monday.

There will be a roast animal/s of somekind and a few Firkins of beer, so we can make a real weekender out of it.
This event is capped at 40 players. £25 deposit must be paid before the game to secure your place. There will be NO refunds but you can sell your ticket on and this is a weekend event, so no day rate.
We will have a gate price of £60 but be assured we are only selling 40 tickets.

Tuddenham has shrunk again with the game shooting starting up again, so we will be capping our game days at 40 players a day only! So get in early!

BANDAGES, for GOD SAKE– Again!!!  Guys, if you play Filmsim regularly please start bringing your own bandages with you. THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM!!!

Word from the front
Hi guys, thanks for all your support as always and a massive thanks to all the refs in the field for a very busy summer, without you guys Gunman wouldn’t be half as good. 
If you haven’t visited us for a while, you really are missing out on the best Airsoft we have done.

We will be sending out a second small news update every now and them to keep people posted to the then and now as we keep missing quite a bit of news ;)
