Frank has dropped me a line about updates to the UK Airsoft Map; the updates detail new sites that have been added along with sites that no longer exist:

The UK Airsoft Map has been updated.
Three new sites
are now listed which are:

Combat 1 on 1 near Durham
Close Action near Corby
Northants
Predator Games in NI

Sites removed include: Matrix
Scarborough,
Sopley,
Batcave & Airbourne.

If anyone knows of any new sites or sites that need adding or old ones that need removing then please let me know.

The guys over at Airsoft Pacific League wanted to drop us a line with the latest news. I also just wanted to stress that we’re always open to US submissions – there seemed to be a bit of confusion after we moved sites:

Airsoft Pacific (now Airsoft Pacific League) is totally revamped from the ground up with a new design, new content, features, and it’s now meant to cater more to the entire Pacific Northwest (rather than just Oregon).

We’ve announced a new OP at an old Radar Dome Facility near Colville, WA. OP: GENESIS LANDING will be on October 16th and 17th. (It’s a completely free OP at an awesome facility)

We’ve also made a new 4 minute video available of one of our previous games and posted numerous new photos. As well, we’ve announced a new Airsoft web comic which should debut next week sometime. We’ve got a teaser frame up for now to give viewers a taste of what’s on the way. (Airsoft Pacific League)

A new website has launched by the name Red-Alliance, specifically to cater for eastern-bloc themed players out there:

Designed to bring the entire ak-wielding airsoft community together under one roof, this site will provide opportunities to meet others like you, get your questions answered, find and trade gear, and form/join teams in your area. Come on by and say hi, comrade! (Red-Alliance)

Matt over at AirsoftPlayers has sent in an update from him via the site as for the moment his email and sites are offline after evacuating the local area for Hurricane Ivan. The local area looks to be pretty much a huge mess . You can comment on the article in the forums.

Arn- Matt here. I have been in Colorado Springs since Tuesday, but am supposed to be flying back to Pensacola on Sunday. I will likely have to route to Atlanta, and then drive a rental car down from there.

If anyone wants to see how things went, Pensacola News Journal is still up (the local newspaper isnt hosted locally) and they can see the pics of everything.

No idea when power will be back up, but once it is the sites will all be back online. If you can maybe make a post in your forums to this effect, I would appreciate it. I dont have a login setup yet in your new forums, and I went to register but that requires email verification, and none of my email works right now. LOL Thanks! Matt (aka Pikachoad, AirsoftPlayers)

I’ve just had word from Sam that the CS video that we posted here in the news has had to be taken offline.. after being posted here the interest overloaded the server provided by Sam’s hosting company with downloads of over 2Gb per hour that resulted in several websites going offline.

Sam (aka El-Mariachi) has sent me a link to his latest work, a rather nice video of the game at CombatSouth Urban (CS) that was held on the 12th.

The video is 37Mb in size and well worth downloading if you’ve never been to CS to see what the place is like, or if you are a regular there and want to see if you’re featured there. Nice one Sam!
