Just had the latest news from Jimmy over at Intrudershop about their new parts. The photos are of their new M4 aluminium die cast units. I’ve been told their plans for their next releases, although can’t confirm if these are to be publicised yet, so will update the news when get confirmation direct from Intrudershop.
Apichart “Sam” Chong has sent in news from Piper’s Precision Products (P3) ‘ pages. The M-134A2 from P3 is a lovely eye catching piece, but obviously note should be taken of the power output (product may only be suitable for some countries):
Piper’s Precision Products is proud to annouce the release of their brand new second version of their Vulcan airsoft minigun known as the M-134A2. This M-134A2 Vulcan is an evolution of our original M-134A and each one is CNC machined and assembled by hand on a custom basis and features DOM polished stainless steel full length barrels, two stage bolt system to insure reliability and an increased internal ammunition capacity of close to 6,000 rounds which at 50 rounds per second allows for almost a full minute and a half of uninterupted full-auto fire. It fires using either Co2 or High Pressure Air Paintball styled tanks while the barrel rotation/loading process is accomplished via a high powered battery. It can fire the traditional 6mm plastic airsoft BB’s or can be used with unqiue .88 steel 6mm BB’s (which should never be used for airsoft skimishing obviously!). Velocity is adjustable via air flow regulators from between 250-600 FPS.
These units will be offered in both the “Terminator 2” hand held configuration or a Dillon Aero/US Army “Blackhawk” gunner tripod mounted style. We also offer a “Predator” backpack which simulates an ammunition can and houses and conceals the air tanks and in addition, includes authentic US Armaments ammunition chuting and deactivated linked 7.62 NATO rounds that connect to the side of the minigun.

These new full metal AEGs from G&G are extremely realistis and sport steel barrels and flash-hiders for ultimate rigidity. These rifles are heavy with magnesium bodies, and textured grips. Two versions are currently available – the GR16 Carbine (basically an M4 with an LE stock) and the GR16 R4 (an M4 RIS with the battery stored in the readi-mag system and Knights type rear sight.
Both these rifles come with the practice barrel plugs as used on real steel rifles. G&G products have always been known for high quality and refinement, and these AEGs are no exception. Just had the Monster’s in Motion newsletter through in my mailbox and spotted a great value kit, the Blaster M2109. It’s not Airsoft, but with a little kit bashing of parts from an old APS and Tanaka revolver and it could be turned into a functional Airsoft piece, plus.. well I’m a fan of the film (just not the dubbed one!). 199 USD isn’t bad at all for a kit of this quality:
This is the ultimate Blade Runner M2019 Blaster resin kit ever produced! Richard has dropped me a line about an event that they are planning for next year by the name of Distant Thunder. Here’s the details:
There is a UK based “international airsoft event” being planned for next spring. Distant Thunder is a joint venture of a number of members of the airsoft community. The chaps at G&P have sent me an email to let everyone know that the metal bodies for the M733 and M16A1 have now been released. Both packages weight 850g and include a new ejection port cover, metal hop-up set, hop up rubber, receiver pin set, uprated nozzle and new rear sight set.
Both these new bodies have been on their "coming soon" page for some time, and are still currently listed as being out of stock, but you can expect to see these products at your local retailer very shortly.
IntruderShop have added a shot of a new Duty Pouch listed in their "coming soon" section. From the shot it looks like a duty belt mounted utility pack of sorts. As usual from IntruderShop it’s made from decent Cordura and will be very nicely made.
Also of worthy note there’s a new version of their SWAT vest coming up shortly called the HRM – this one seems to lack the ballistic shoulder and groin protection.

Algin (AirsoftClub) sent me shots of their new full metal L85, but they got buried and overlooked in the mass sprawl that is my inbox at the moment (currently being cleaned and tidied

The L85 is hand made with a TM P90 gearbox and an M16 hopup from Marui. They are only planning on making 10 or so, turnover is 7-14days per unit. I’d guess that stocks are limited due to the limited availability of L85 receivers.

Just added a couple of reviews to the site this evening. There’s a review of the classic Youth Engineering MP5 by Antagon (cheers for sending it in bud), which proves that there’s a place for the classics yet.

Kent Wu has sent over a link to an interesting news story in Michigan, US. In a recent change in Michigan’s legislative tact Airsoft have been deemed to have non-firearm status (specifically pistols in this case). When you visit the link it asks for some demographic data – for simplicity sake if you feel like it just stick in 90210/1920/Male.
The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office will no longer criminally charge anyone caught carrying an airsoft pistol, backing off an earlier edict that deemed the realistic toy guns firearms under state law.
The policy change came on the heels of a letter sent by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office to a state representative addressing the legality of airsoft guns, which shoot plastic pellets but look like real weapons.
Washtenaw County appeared to be one of the only counties where prosecutors believed airsoft guns qualified as firearms. Several other county prosecutors and the Michigan State Police disagreed, saying the plastic pellets they shoot are not a dangerous projectile, as defined by the law. […] MLive.com
US laws with regards to Airsoft (and firearms in general) vary from state to state, and there’s a keen interest over there to see the laws harmonised and make more sense. Strangely of the laws out there UK laws seem to make the most sense to me (perhaps that’s just due to familiarity), simplisticly you can’t carry or transport them without good reason in public; then the portrayed intent of use and/or the potential lethality of the equipment relatively clearly defines the scope of ownership and use.
Curiously reading through the news article, the Michigan laws are now very similar to our own here (save the blaze muzzle law). I think the last paragraph was the most interesting as it points towards an issue that’s been the cause of concern across many countries, in that basically not all that is termed "Airsoft" is really a toy. It’s nice to see some sensible well written thoughts on the subject:
Ryan Mainz, a firearms registration expert for the Ann Arbor Police Department, cautioned parents and other airsoft gun owners not to assume that the opinion means anything called an airsoft gun is legal. He said the term airsoft has been broadly used to describe other replica weapons that are not legal without a permit, such as a rifle-barreled pellet gun. Mainz recommended that people check with police if they have questions or concerns. MLive.com
