The guys at Combat TV have released their first episode onto their website. The new episode is 40minutes long, and three different versions are available High Quality at 156MB, Medium Quality at 78MB and Low Quality at a teeny tiny 18MB. For anyone that missed it Combat TV is a web based TV show that focus on the sport of Airsoft – it’s fun too. It’s their first episode so they might not have everything to everyone’s tastes at the moment, that said I’m sure they’d appreciate constructive feedback.
January 2005
While there’s a free moment here’s just a few updates from retailers in HongKong and Japan: RedWolf Airsoft have added the King Arms AK47S Wood Kit, and the King Arms M11A1 Silencer to their stock lists. Club Michelle have added some photos and a brief review of the M1887 Winchester from Marushin (the T2 shotgun). They clearly state that performing the sping-cocking method with the shotgun, as seen in Terminator 2 is sure to break it because of the materials used in its production (trying it out on your Fat Boy Harley will probably wrap you around the nearest telegraph pole too). Anyone out there looking to make upgrade parts for this replica could do worse that produce an upgrade set that would allow it to be spin cocked. A decent spare metal barrel would be nice too. There’s no performance specs for the shotgun yet, but the 5 shell capacity and 3-1 style 8mm loads are confirmed.

FreedomArt have added a new set grip panels for the TM G18C mini AEG to their stock selection today.
These two new rubber grip panels simply stick onto the sides of the frame and provide a much better material to hold securely. Price wise they’ll cost around 1,500Yen

The folks at Bioval Technologies have sent over a photo for some tests that have been conducted showing how their BBs have diodegraded over time:
Hi,
Remember the independent test executed and posted at VästSvenska AirsoftFörbundet?
Well now we have a picture for you.
Enclosed is a picture of the Bioval Technologies BBs (Biotech BB or BBB) after 9 months in the environment.
As you can see the starch and potassium bicarbonate based BBB is degrading in a noticeable manner.
For more info contact Bioval. Bioval is committed to providing the Airsoft community with state of the art solutions. Stefano, (Bioval Technologies)

Russian Military have updated their website with some interesting odds and ends, including the very non-family safe (I warned you.. so don’t blame me for linking to it) ‘Guns and Poses’ calendar 2005. Which involves gratuitous shots of.. well erm, guns and er other stuff.
While you’re over there they’ve made an additional 2.5% price reduction for their USA customers because of the current USD/UKP exchange rate (which we’re all enjoying rather a lot at the moment I must say). There’s also a heap of Saiga gear in stock over there. That reminds me reading their front page – please don’t forget that there’s the continuing Tsuami appeal over at http://www.dec.org.uk/ and be wary of links to possible hoax charities that are around the ‘net at the moment.

Our friend Stinger has been over to BlackHole 2005 too (probably walked past Yuki from AD by the sounds of it) and has posted his findings over on the AirsoftPlayers forums. Go on and pop over there for a look see. Again not much to report right now, but he’ll be posting an article and some photos later on.

Well it seems like about the right time to have a plod around all the usual places to bring you the latest news Sadly nothing hugely thrilling at the moment, but there are some bits and bobs that may spike some interest.
For anyone after one of the new M82A1 conversion kits from HurricanE they now have it listed as being in stock and ready for shipment (price 1,850USD). LA Gunshop have news that the Tanaka S&W M10 revolver will be available from them on the 13th of January for 16,590Yen . There’s a note that the barrel on the M10 replica differs from the real thing, but without a photo of the production model it’s hard to see exactly what they are referring to. Tokyo Model Company have news that the KSC STi Falcon 3.9 will be with them shortly – although I’m sure that was announced months back.
I know a few people were asking where they could find the LETS Twister Protector masks that were seen on the Laylax pages earlier last month. Well if you’re after one, pop on over to War 4 Toys Intl. They are currently in stock at 79.90USD a set.
New over at Boom Arms is a selection of new stock including the PROUD Selector Plate for AK47 Series, G&P Flashlight M3 Tactical Head, King Arms Side Railed AUG M203PI Mount, J&T Front Sight, TGS Killflash For TGS ELANE M1A5 3X Power Scope and J&T #40L Flip-Up Rear Sight.
Over at Airsoft Dynamics Yuki brings sad news that there’s not much of interest that he’s seen at the BlackHole Show, however he had a chat to the TM guys:
Just a quick info:
Just made a quick visit to the BlackHole Airsoft/Militaria convention. Nothing majorly special there but a Marui employee told me that the SIG GBB is “scheduled for May release”. Now, altnough we can’t hold his comment as an official Marui statement, it is better than “no set date”. Also the G18C MAEG 100rounds hi-cap will also be out this month.Yuki, (Airsoft Dynamics)

Over at Frontier shop there’s some rather fun moscart/40mm custom launchers. Possibly not the most realistic replicas in the world.. but certainly very fun.
The Big Horn model takes the CAW rail mounted launcher, whilst the Commbat Dragoon Long barrel is a 9 1/2in look-a-like revolver that takes standard 40mm moscarts. The model with the rails top and bottom is a 27mm unit (designed for the smaller moscarts by the looks of it) and is listed as something that can be fitted to the M93r, although I’m curious as to how myself. Update: Thanks go to Ethan for pointing out that they meant that it can take the M93r folding stock.
Update #2: ORCA spotted this news and it’s cheered him up no and as he’s been staring at this advert in the December issue of Arms magazine trying to find out who was selling it. The launcher uses the CAW 27mm moscarts and swings sideways for loading. The pistol grip can be removed, and a simple RIS coupler (such as the Chameleon-JPN RIS unit) can be used to attach this launcher to any lower RIS rail easily. Cheers for the update ORCA.

AirsoftMart have sent over word that they now have a new stock of FireFox products in. Here’s the latest from the gang there:
AirsoftMart has some news about new products Fire Fox USA: The first new product from Fire Fox is a Weatherproof PTT. No more fumbling around trying to find a tiny PTT button or setting off your VOX by accident. Now you can keep both hands on the wheel (or handlebars or weapon) and still share those moments that make life so much fun!
Next up from FireFox is a Fox Sox: The Fire Fox Sox is designed to protect the Fire Fox Throat Mics and accessories when not in use. While large enough to fit two mics and a few accessories it is durable enough to be thrown into a trailer, backpack, or equipment storage unit.
Next up from FireFox is a Extreme Throat Mic: The Extreme Throat Mic allows a user to communicate using a throat mic with dual microphones. The neck ring is adjustable to properly fit a wide range of neck sizes. The Extreme includes two speakers and two sound tubes. Since the sound tubes each have an individual speaker, the user can now receive twice the volume. Not to mention you don’t have to worry about it falling out of the ear. Because of its slim design , it fits perfectly under any helmet. The sound tube can also be cut shorter to fit different sized ears. The Extreme also includes a Weatherproof PTT for tough outdoor situations. Now you can play in the rain, mud or dust and not worry about damaging the Fire Fox equipment
Where you go, it goes.
Next up from FireFox is a Commando Throat Mic: The Commando Throat Mic allows a user to still communicate using a throat mic while staying discrete with a sound tube instead of a conventional ear bud. Now, even with running and jumping, the sound tube will never fall out of the ear. Because of its slimmer design, it fits comfortably under any mask. The sound tube can also be cut shorter to fit different sized ears. The Commando also includes a Weatherproof PTT for tough outdoor situations. Now you can play in the rain, mud or dust and not worry about damaging your Fire Fox Communication equipment.
Next up from FireFox in February is a range of splitters to make these Throat Mics work with most radios on the market today. Just to finish off, we will be stocking all products from G&G Armaments.

First up a polite request to help the guys at Crazed Weazel Entertainment in the US. The guys are after one of the Hudson double barrelled shotguns (the long barreled version of the MadMax replica) for a film shoot. I’ve looked around at the usual haunts and can’t easily spot anyone selling one – so can you help?
They are currently in the planning stages for a feature length horror film that should start production this spring that they are planning to use the replica in and are working on a concept for an Evil Dead fan film that they plan to film later in the year or early next year.
If you know of anyone (private or retail) that is selling the Airsoft Hudson double barrelled shotgun, please do drop Adam (adam@crazedweasel.tv) a line.
