I have just had an email from Simon at JDS Delta Corp (we know them as Madbull Airsoft) introducing their new website and product lineup (yes I’m awake at a truly ungodly hour). We’ve seen their moscarts before as SupremeCo stock them in HK, but there’s more listed on their own site. Highlights include a CO2 conversion set for a TM AEG mech box (with recoil), a series of serious looking grenades and a rather nice Li-Ion battery pack.. and that’s not all of it (there’s a gas 8mm M82 there for one). This year has just begun really and there’s already lots of lovely toys on the horizon!
February 2005
Completely by accident I managed to pop across a handy website by the name of Stoppa.co.uk that amongst other things supply several decent sets of gloves.
The Hand Armour Enforcer S series look really good for one. I have a nice set of Hatch gloves myself and no real complaints, but anti stab/slash are always handy if you play at a local skirmish site where there’s the possibility of broken glass or rusty metal. If you want something a bit cheaper the short cuff sets from Damascus are not bad at all for just under 19UKP.

Wilson Lee (F.C.T.) in Taiwan has sent over shows of a new Airsoft replica of a magazine used in the Finnish Valmet (M90) for the TM AK47 AEG and compatible rifles. There’s no more details about the product at the moment, but you can email wilson22@ms18.hinet.net for more details.

Tanio Koba have added details of their new heavy weight slides for the TM Hi-Capa 5.1 pistol to their webpages today. The new set of slides will be out on the 15th of February at a price of 11,550 Yen. The slides are made from a material similar to that previously used by MGC and when polished it comes up in a blued metal colour.
The 6 inch slide is coming, but they don’t know when it’ll be available. 400 of the HW replacement 5.1 slide shown on the TK website will be made in total. The slides are a cast resin compound which is then NC machined externally with laser engraved markings.

Over at Airsoft Scotland’s special offer pages the guys have added news of a new HFC 190 pistol and a custom RIS mounted TM AK47:
*New* HFC M190 Special Forces GBB Full metal.
Exactly the same as our infamous CO2 Beretta except this comes with a gas mag instead of the CO2 one. So, if you wanted this gun in the past but didn’t want to use CO2 cartridges, your dilemma has now been solved. Another factor of the CO2 model that put off some people was the extended magazine, the gas mag that comes with this pistol is a flush fit.Fires at 300fps using 0.2g BB’s. Lives happily on green gas.
NOTE: Unlike the CO2 Beretta, this gas version cannot use both types of magazine. It can’t fire the CO2 mags due to a weaker hammer spring. We found this out at our peril, but that’s another story. Price: £88.99
AK 47 RIS
Enough! We’ve done plenty of work to M16s, and it’s time to appeal to other tastes. So – here’s an AK with some added ‘Oomph!’
Added to the TM AK47 are a prime RIS forend, an ICS Phantom flash hider and a Guarder steel ribbed receiver cover. The Cobra red-dot shown is available seperately.
The Prime kit is well up to their usual standards, being exceptionally well made, very solid and fitting the gun like a glove. Included are the RIS rail covers and the KAC vertical hande
We have one only of these at present, so if you want an AK that stands out from the crowd – now’s your chance!
Price: £385.00 (Airsoft Scotland)

Set phasers to yawn factor 3, KSC have added news of a new G34 model to their webpage. This time it’s a new “limited production” straight framed heavy weight G34. The new model will be out on February the 17th priced at 19,425 Yen with a 23 round capacity.
The new straight frame model is not hugely unexpected, nor what you’d call a huge amount of work for KSC seeing as they’ve already made the same lower frame for the G18 series not so long ago and had the new top slide made for the G34. You could even call the new model the product of a parts bin explosion. Sorry.. getting bored of seeing new Glock models at the moment. It’s a Glock yadda yadda, see pretty picture for more detail.

KT has also sent over news of a new product that they are stocking called the Thunder Grenade, which should look familiar to any regular Airsofter reader. They have some videos of the design in operation on this forum thread.
Introducing a new line of Paintball Grenade and Launcher: RAP4 Thunder .43 cal paintball grenade launcher shell, it fires 1 to 25 .43cal paintball all at once. This grenade is compatible with CO2 and Green Gas. It is capable of putting out over 100 feet range, talk about distance and really LOUD too, like thunder!|
See the RAP4 Thunder Grenade in action. Fits into any standard grenade launchers, work on Green Gas at 100 P.S.I.
or CO2 at 800 P.S.I.KT, (Real Action Paintball LLC )
It may well be a rework of a current design but running on CO2 it looks to pack a fair wallop. Paint may not for you, but you can get rubber .43 cal BBs which are useful if your site has safety concerns over smaller BB varieties and overall energy.

Just a quick update. A chap by the name of Mike Mitchell based in Mississippi dropped me a line but gave no reply email address, and I’d quite like to get back to him. If you’re reading this Mike can you please drop me a line direct at arnie@arniesairsoft.co.uk?

I never really know whether to post about press material that appears or not, as I don’t want to add bad publicity as it never really serves anyone. That said a recent news story run by RTE News in mainland Ireland is typical of style of news reporting we see today in the popular media and on TV and because of this I thought I’d add a few comments.
The news story was about a haul of illegal equipment that was siezed in an organised Police crack down (see: original news report). Included in the items siezed were the usual drugs, swords, real firearms and radio scanners.. but wait a moment, isn’t that an Airsoft gun? At one point the RTE reporter holds up an plastic toy that we all know, slaps the mag in for effect and says “It may only be a replica but it’s clear evidence of the extent of the firearms trade on the internet in this country. This is an M16 assault rifle (a replica of one), but yet it can fire thousands of steel balls and hard plastic balls in full automatic mode and it is illegal in this country under the Firearms Act.” (see: news video in RealMedia format) – Click ReadMore to see the rest of the article.

Sergio has emailed over the 2005 calendar for ClassicArmy which makes a handy PC wallpaper if you like that kind of thing. Speaking of ClassicArmy they have added a new MP5 A4 foregrip w/ 6v bulb for 9.6v 1700mAh to their webpages.
Over at Hartford they have a new model (T804) of their own of brand laser pointers called ‘BeamFord’ in stock (that sounds far too much like ‘Binford’ and reminds me of DIY accidents), a kit that makes a BeadFord laser look like a SureFire model and a new all silver SAA.45 model kit.
On StarAirsoft’s pages in Japan there’s some more details of their upcoming UMP AEG release. According to their text there their own UMP model is a direct scale copy based on measurements taken from the real firearm. The material used to build the UMP replica is a fibre reinforced ABS, save the rails and outerbarrel which are metal, the inner barrel is listed as a “precision barrel” and the magazines have a capacity of 110 rounds.
The new UMP is centred around a gearbox and motor from the Tokyo Marui G36C AEG, and as I read this they are not included which would point towards both the new Star UMP and M14 SOPMOD being kits, not AEGs. The UMP will be out for sale at the end of February for a price of around 36,000 Yen.
Ubar dropped me a line with some news that he received back from GB-Tech about their upcoming products this year. Planned for release this year is a new M60E3 which is due out in the next few months, a Minimi Mk2 later in the year, and their previously developed HK21 kit is due to be released as a full AEG some time in 2006.
Last but not least X-Fire have added a new bore up cylinder for the VSR-10 (I finally figured out what this ‘b-arrow’ logo meant.. so sue me I can be slow at times too) to their product lineup today. Priced at 6,860 Yen this accessory should performance upgrades on the VSR-10 that much easier.

at Airsoft Scotland’s special offer pages there’s news of a custom M4 CQB, and a new stock of the TM BB loader and spare batteries and mags for the G18C MEAG (priced at £16.99 for the battery and £13.99 for the mag).
M4 CQB
Ok -so you like M4s, but they’re just too long…What do you do?
This beast was built to order for a customer, but what can be done once can be done again. The core of this project was the G&P Marine receiver and the G&P CQB short RAS front end. Add to this mix and healthy chunk of tight barrel, metal hop unit, reinforced gearbox, Guarder red dot and a right-folding stock and you have a gun which measures only 21″ with the stock folded.
Power comes via a 9.6v supply housed in the ICS AN/PEQ box which features a working laser.Magazine is the G&P short M16 mid cap, holding 110 rounds.
Please note – the price quoted can vary depending upon options and the amount of components that Airsoft Scotland have to supply) Price: £600.00
Poly BB Loader
We’ve said it before (and others have shamelessly copied us) but you can’t keep a good idea down – so – Ladies and Gentlemen – another BB loader!
This time it’s a faithful copy of the original Marui loading tool, but cheaper! As far as we can tell, these are identical in every respect, barring price.
Ain’t choice wonderful!
Price: £6.99 (Airsoft Scotland)

Also just added to the site’s project section now is a simple solution to creating your own milsim style mags written by WMH entitled ‘RealCap‘. The project shows you how to convert a standard Tokyo Marui M16/4 low capacity magazine so that it will only store a maximum number of rounds so that it corresponds to the number in weapon’s real-world counterpart.
The Tokyo Marui Standard M16 Series Magazine (popularly known as the TM Low-Cap) holds 68 BBs. It is however, a replica of a 30 round M16 Magazine. This guide will show you how to correct this error in realism.
This modification is based on an age-old concept. Here in the USA shotgun capacity is limited in certain types of hunting, and I’ve seen hunting shotguns come with magazine limiters — in the form of a wooden dowel, which inserts into the magazine follower and physically blocks capacity. This is what we will be doing here, using a small screw to physically block the magazine spring.
