Here’s a quick roundup of the news posted in the forums. Sekiryu has added news of Tanaka’s Type 99 Arisaka rifle. Check the forum link for more details.
Also Catman has added a shot of the HFC Cougar available at RedWolf Airsoft.
The GBB costs 85USD, and the specs are as follows:
Currently there aren’t many choices on the market if you want a Cougar gas blowback pistol, even less so if you want a full metal one. Well, here’s the perfect solution from HFC! This full-metal marvel has a full-metal exterior and it gives some really nice metallic noises when firing this gun. It is quite a compact gun, that makes an excellent concealed-carry gun.
The trigger pull is very nice and crisp, and the response is good. It has pretty decent performance for a little gun, with 290fps performance with Green Gas and .2g BBs.
- Product Code HGA-160X-C
- Hop-Up FIXED
- Weight 800 g
- Length 183.0 mm
- Capacity 17 rds
- Power 290.0 fps
- Power Source hfc134a, top gas
- Blowback YES
- Shooting Mode semi
I’ve just added the ASH BASH 2007 banner to our events listing on the RHS of our pages. I was going to add the email update that was sent over by the crew at ASH, however that email was accidentally deleted by me went walkies (it’s the blue furry things at it again I tell you!). I’ve mailed Pat at ASH to get the update resent, but in the meantime, the lovely banner is to the right. :)
ASH BASH 2007 is a 20 year anniversary event, which is going to be held on Kualoa Ranch. I remember from reading the email (yeah… the one I accidentally deleted) that this is where they’ve filmed movies such as Jurassic Park and Windtalkers.
As ever with the ASH crew you can expect this event to be a big one, this time there will be over 20,000USD in prizes to give away!
Right, back to reading my emails hopefully I’ll not mash the keyboard again and randomly delete stuff…
Time for a couple of updates with news posted in the forums
Yeager posted in the news area to say that Blazing Toys now have the UHC VP-70M clone for sale having bought one himself. This is a GBB pistol, which comes with a belt clip and the stock (it’s reportedly a licensed copy of the Tanio Koba model). Power is quoted at 1J and it can fire in s/a and burst modes. All yours for 120USD.
ColDaz stuck up a post to mention that the BE MP7 is in at ActionHobbys.
The jury isn’t in on if it’s a clone/rebrand of the WELL R4, but we’ll keep folks updated on the model when we know more. This is a new build and not related to the BE MP7 that’s also around on the shelves.
Oh and if you didn’t see FarEast’s previous post about the new MadBull licensed products including silencers and a patriot kit, there’s also a thread in the forums with pictures.
Whilst I’m on the subject of Inokatsu they also updated their pages on 6/5 with details of their Galil ARM. Details are as shown on their poster:
Also updated from them is details of the AK47/47S “Twin Devil”, a commemorative version of the AK47 series. A direct translation of their page for the product gives:
The well wins the international 2006 year, the challenge field technology threshold classics greatly makes — — — “the AK47/47S Twin Devil” the ultimate commemoration version!
Because the production cost is soaring, product line total only 50, 絕 do not reprint. Crazily plays the family to be sure not to miss!
- The industry level steel products truncate slivering
- The lignin imitates the solid gun multi-level to gather the board system regulation
- The entire gun body anti- blows the high temperature dyeing agent coloration (Inokatsu)
Yes well, not hugely enlightening, but you get the drift as much as I do from that.
Inokatsu annouced their CNC M$ (sorry.. “M4”) receiver on 6/5. Designed to be made in a process as close to the real thing as possible it’ll be compatible with TM gearboxes:
Inokatsu M4 gun body is applied to Marui M4, the gun body made by forging mold, CNC processes the surface. The manufacture basis is as real as the M4, this gun body to be first class In Air soft, all gun body can put MARUI M4 gear box inside. To satify every player who likes M$ of higher grade, expecting by 26/08/07 (Inokatsu)
You can expect this to be an almost perfect receiver natrually, but it won’t be cheap.
I just received news from Tomo at PDI about their upcomming release for the new Tokyo Marui Scorpion.
We would like to introduce to Arnie’s Airsoft our latest product.
We have new parts for the Tokyo Marui AEG Scorpion, right now it’s just a prototype.
The muzzle will be designed Skorpion vz.85. We plan to use iron to be realistic. The railsystem is a totally PDI original design, this will have 3 rails(both sides & lower) and will be on sale next week.
The guys over at MadBull Airsoft were kind enough to send me a samples of thier new products to review.
Now these items were first off the production line so no one else has seen these yet, infact even Simon Lee the CEO of MadBull hasn’t seen them yet! So that’s dedication to getting you the news first!
For the rest of the images head on over to the news section and check out the new Quicksilver silencer and the Long Patriot kit!
CRW Airsoft have mailed in concerning some new gear from them:

RedWolf have mailed in a couple of new videos both covering new Airsoft Surgeon products which are available for preorder, the M870 Slugshot Shotgun (available in standard and 18 inch lengths) and the Super Magnum 6mm Shell set for the Tanaka M870. Here’s the text and videos from them:
We have been testing the M870 Slugshot along with the Airsoft Surgeon Slugshot shells, and we were quite simply blown away by the performance of both. It is such a pleasing performer, with good power and great range. We tested it with a target approximately 20 metres away. The trajectory of the slug was very straight and accurate, eventually hitting the cardboard box target, penetrating both the front and back of the box, then it hit the wall behind and rebounded back to penetrate the rear of the box again! You can see it in our video below!!
The M870 Slugshot Shotgun is finally here, and is as fantastic as we thought it will be. PRE-ORDER yours now for a CL-customised shotgun with a difference! It comes with 5x slug shells and is fantastic piece of craftmanship. Additional “slugs” will be available for sale shortly.
Video of the Airsoft Surgeon M870 Slugshot Shotgun:
Airsoft Surgeon have also created the Super Magnum 6mm Shell also, which comes in a boxed set of 5 hand-customised shells. Each shell is modified by Clarence Lai, and provides more potential for high performance. As a result of the modifications, the shells are good for 450fps with Green Gas, and the shells can be used with HFC134a, Green and Red gas. The shells are completely compatible with all the Tanaka M870’s and gives you superb performance instantly!

Systema Engineering have mailed in a couple of answers to posers that may have been keeping you awake at night. If you’ve ever wondered why the o-ring (part number cu-009) changed colour:
Q: I did see that the o-ring (CU-009) has a new color (white/yellow/transparent). Did you change the material?
A: Yes, we improved it. Material is urethane. For O rings, it is a very new material. It is used for the head of the hammer made of resin. It is highly durable material.
With this O ring, we could realize about 3 times as durable as conventional. First, we adopted it only for MAX in a tentative way. Then, we adopt it all the models this time. Although it is powerful… it is a problem that price is expensive.
And for anyone worrying about the time it takes them to make the CQBR:
Q: I heard it takes a long time to deliver PTW-CQBR. Why?
A: CQBR need long time for delivery, I will make it balance of the order. Until now, for the barrel of CQBR, we cut the barrel which is processed for M4 one by one. It is too wasteful! (I did not imagine it is so popular like this.)
Since stock level of the barrel for M4 also became low this time, we produce the barrel only for CQBR. Therefore, it takes some time. Best regards, Kumi
One random update complete, more to go. Okay.. so we’re on the Systema mailer list, so we get all their mails intended for dealers/retailers/public, so some it’s very relevant to the general masses.
G&P have some newgear, which includes two new custom M870 boom sticks:

Sad news from Dragon Valley I’m afraid:
At 6:10pm on Sunday, May 6th whilst preparing to leave the Dragon Valley site after the day’s event, Dragon Valley’s co-founder Brian Reardon suffered what appears to have been a heart attack. Though site staff and paramedics worked on Brian for 30 minutes, doctors pronounced him dead at 7pm.
This thread on our forum has been started by Jeff, and would be a suitable place to leave any notes of condolence.
