I’m currently upgrading the site look and feel along with the front page, so please bear with me if things look a little screwy while I work on getting things upgraded.
Update 19:52 – Well there’s a heap of work done now, but there’s a bit more to do yet. Currently a few things might not quite look right or as expected, however site look and speed should now be restored.
Update 23:00 – I’ve rebuilt the main sidebar and have got most of the features up and running now that we had previously. 99% there.

In confirmation to Arnie’s previous story (viewable here), Systema have been in touch with the full details of downtime for Systema:
Our factory is under extension/remodel construction now.
Although we continue usual business now, we have to temporarily stop business from beginning to middle of March because of carrying components in etc.
We expect that the orders which we will have received before early next week will be able to be corresponded late in March. However, as for the orders which we will receive after late next week, we expect that the shipment will be considerably delayed.

The upshot of this is most likely, at the worst, that some retailers will temporarily run out of Systema stock for a short period. However, most retailers appear to have good stock levels for Systema products normally, so the disruption should be at a very minimum.

Rather than the system we did have which detected if you were trying to view the site on a smartphone or a PDA and then sent you to a page for that phone, we’ve now got a simple subdomain setup. If you want to check our news on a PDA or smartphone, just pop onto m.arniesairsoft.co.uk. This will direct you to a Google powered page, which if you’ve got a google account will remember what you’ve read (articles read aren’t displayed).
It’s a bit of a cop out using Google rather than writing the code ourselves, however I like Google, I hate reinventing the wheel, and this method is really fast! ;)
Last year Magpul released an Airsoft version of the MIAD grip that only replicated an approximation of the unit, now with the release of the version 2 operators are now able to actually able to change the fit of the grip to suit their specific requirements.
Also Magpul have announced both black and dark earth versions of their new PTS AR Metal receivers, the overall finish looks outstanding but straight away you can tell it lacks a lot of the new features found on other brands.

Not much of an update in terms of scale, but I have finally got around to updating the forums with the navigation bar.
Darn, was halfway through that then ran out of power on my laptop. Mental note to self – don’t ignore low power warnings…
Now where was I? I am going to see how much of my "web chores" I can get through this week.
As Marlowe mentioned in a previous post we are looking to expand and develop the site further (and from my point of view to better organise the resources that we already have), do check his news post on that for more info.
