Sniperland have added an article comparing a large collection of precision BBs on their website (thanks go to Groquik of Sniperland for mailing in the update). The entire article is in French, however you can find a Google translation of it here (so please do excuse the odd error in translation).
Test Procedure: A sample of 50 balls of each type was chosen at random. The test was conducted on foot via a slide as well as digital scales jeweller, for greater reliability tests were done by 2 persons (sbs terranhunt and myself) with a different measuring equipment.
Each ball was measured at the foot sliding on different axes 2 (rotation and measure it back and then shift 30 degrees left and again on the steps forward and backward). In weighing the balls were arranged on the central plateau and then wait a few seconds the weight stabilizes before it noted.
- Weight extreme statement: equivalent to 2 extremum statements on the sample test.
- Gap weight of 10 bb’s: it is the average variation of a sample from the same brand / same bag of marbles.
- Max noted: equivalent to 2 extremum statements on the sample test.
- Moyenen of variances: this is the average of a sample of balls from the same brand / same bag of marbles, the following indication (- + + +) gives the quality of this gap is more little better note east.
- Velocity output canon: the processes we have in front of a firing chrony for balls 0.20 -> 460 fps then we tested the ball with the same bolt to compare velocities depending on the weight, and secondly see if it y to discrepancies between different velocity bullets from the same sample. First and Only Airsoft Adventures are opening up some new gaming sites:
NEW SITES: Hello from all at First and only Airsoft just a quick update on our new sites the first is called The Temple ( opens 5th October 08 ). The site is in Leeds city centre 5 mins from the station.
This is a FIBUA site and we will be running biweekly games for 80-100 people. There are lots of great feature from CQB office areas, kill house areas, and a large underground catacomb with lots of twisting tunnels. The address is Marshall Street, Holbeck, Leeds ls119
The Academy is our second new site based in Rochdale. This site is run very different from other urban sites .also is a by weekly site. The format is mil-sim using some role play to make the missions as real as possible. You need to plan the missions the instant reaction plan then a full plan, then execute to completion. The scenarios are from real life and are just as challenging.
This site could hold 50 – 60 people but to keep with the team we only allow 40. the address is Innes school, Ings lane. Rochdale, ol127dw
