Discontinued from a Cabela’s-only run comes a limited edition Kershaw Fixed Blade Skyline. I have watched this blade for awhile but previously was unimpressed by its value level. Things change with this video because the price dropped a lot. It is indeed a fixed blade version of our Hall of Fame Kershaw 1760 Skyline by in house designer Tommy Lucas. Obscure and unknown in 2008, that knife was made a worldwide favorite EDC choice right here in TNP. This fixed blade version offers similar utility at just 2.8 oz (knife only), 4.4 oz total carry weight. And yet it’s thicker and stronger than the folding Skyline: .013" vs .009" thickness. Steel is the fine grained 14C28N Sandvik and it arrives with excellent edge and geometry. Colors in this run include the bright international orange and black, both with stonewashed blade finishes. The G10 slabs are tractionable and the full tang has been melted for smoothness. A lanyard hole is useful. A complete lack of jimping is an ergonomic miss but it’s easily rectified as shown. The leather sheath holds the FB Skyline tightly and is well stitched. As with most fixed blades, I’d prefer a lighter and waterproof plastic sheath. POUs are discussed. Value at the amazing and limited time price of just $19 from BLADE HQ. Not long ago I posted some news about the Zoxna Airsoft GM2 IMPACT grenade.
When I posted I stated I’d hunt for some more information. A quick reply from Zoxna Airsoft today included a link to a new video from them that shows the operation of the device. The video is cut quickly and the BB filling is reduced to a quick montage, so I get the impression that takes time!
