ARES have refreshed their L85 with the L85A3. Priced at around 400USD for the basic model and around 600USD for the deluxe model. it features a reinforced gearbox, electric blowback and their new CNC aluminium hand guard. they have plans on two versions, the deluxe model coming with the vertical grip and sight included.
ARES have a dealer list online but it should be coming to your local retailer shortly by the looks of it.

Everyone seems that AW338 cylinder is same size as VSR-10 but actually not same.
The difference is important cause it’ll be affected the position of bolt stop. We don’t know ARES intention or not. But we think need to make new size.
This piston is not for strong power, if you want stronger,you can use for VSR-10 PDI metal pistons.

We’ve just put up the rest of our video coverage from Shot Show 2012. First, we talk with ARES about the officially US Licensed Knights Armament LMG. They also told us about new custom built sniper rifles with real-steel rifle stocks. For those of you hardcore players out there who have to have a specific stock and you’ve got the money to invest – this might be for you. Finally we look at a new shell ejecting M4 in development.
We also paid a visit to Palco/Cybergun to try out their new electronic target system. These target systems will provide a great opportunity for stores and event hosts to facilitate shooting competition. And we’ve got a quick preview of the new Blaser R93 sniper rifle.

The guys at PredatorBDU have evolved the design of the Ares Armor Combat XII-MEC Pack (it appears in-house) with a few modifications. This new design is now out in PenCott™ Multi-Environment Camouflage patterns on their website. The new design is out in January 2012 at around 147USD:
The Combat XII-MEC Pack is equivalent to the original Ares Armor design created for a Marine Sniper Platoon with the removal of webbing from the rear compartments. We had the PALS webbing removed from the back of the pack at the suggestion of military customers who wanted solid camouflage concealment with less modularity needed for streamlined utility. This Combat XII-MEC Pack is named as such, because it is being offered exclusively at PredatorBDU.com in the three PenCott™ Multi-Environment Camouflage patterns including GreenZone (Temperate), Badlands (Transitional/Semi-Arid), and Sandstorm (Arid/Desert). This is a first of its kind and the premier of a pack in these camouflage patterns.
