Umarex
So the next video is out from Umarex, this time covering their announcement of their new Airsoft releases. Yes the MG4 and PSG1 are in there! The S&W M29 is covered as well, showing off the adjustable popup, speed loaders, CO2 installation and their attention to detail.

BB2k Airsoft have awesome Facebook and YouTube pages and have had the chance to visit Umarex at IWA. They’ve also shared photos of Umarex’s HK MG4 AEG. Checkout their pages and like and subscribe to them for more updates.

Whilst IWA 2021 isn’t quite what everyone hoped this year for the obvious reasons that doesn’t mean the news and new releases aren’t coming. Umarex have posted a video covering the highlights of their upcoming new products. This covers items outside of their airsoft lineup including paintball calibers, however these rubberised calibers tend to provide interest in 6mm versions. Lets face it these are interesting ideas and designs.

The best UMAREX / VFC GLOCK made so far?!
The VFC GLOCK19X GBB is around for some time now and players got their experience with it already. Some say “it´s just another GLOCK” and others think “the best one made so far”! So what is the truth now?
Fact is that VFC did listen to the feedback from the airsoft community about the problems with previous models like the Gen3 and Gen4 17s and 19s to make this special model from the real steel GLOCK series a special one in airsoft too. READ MORE…

So news that Umarex have gained the Glock license has been doing the rounds. Obviously this means that local distributors will be able to import these products shortly without fear of import issues; here’s the details from Land Warrior Airsoft:
Hi, Just received news this morning from Umarex that they will be making officially licensed Glock pistols in 4.5mm/.177 airgun and 6mm Airsoft. Looking like these pistols will be available some time in October 2017. Please see attached PDF.

I’ve worn my legs in quite well today but managed to get all the way over to the Umarex stand in the main hall.
The first items that immediately caught my eye were the HK416C and HK417D rifles. The HK416C is a compact railed fore grip AR style AEG with the sliding bar stock. The HK417D however is a replica of a 7.62 calibre rifle with the wider magazine and receiver.
Over in their pistol section were two Elite Force M1911 copies, both were 16 round CO2 driven 6mm GBB full metal replicas. The (currently) plain and marking free railed frame 1911 is expected to retail in the region of 120USD. It had an incredibly impressive spring return on the slide and I’m confident that the GBB recoil will impress. As I’m no fan of banana style stick magazines, I’m sold on the fact that the CO2 bulb and BBs are contained in the same single removable magazine.
I’m afraid I messed up the exposure on these pistol shots so will take some better photos tomorrow.
Also available from Umarex were a selection of lower priced replicas. The TF4 “OPS” Carbine (on the blue background) is an almost all plastic AEG with a plastic body and gearbox chassis, which is a variation on the standard unit (the original retails at just under 120USD a unit) and includes a battery, charger and BBs in the box.
Whilst clear replicas and low cost equipment might not be suitable for all purposes you certainly can’t complain at the value.
