Dear Arnies Airsoft news,

Hi all and welcome to the Decembers news letter.

So what’s new? 
First up a huge welcome to all the new players to Gunman and if it’s your first time, to the coolest hobby that is…..Airsoft.  We have had loads of newbie’s joining us across Gunman during November which is awesome a a few old guns returned to the field too.  Welcome back guys.  Xmas is just round the corner and don’t forget the Xmas deal.  Spend £200+ in the shop and get the day/weekend your playing free!  We are getting a re-stock forst week of December ready for Tudders Xmas game, so get in early.

The Voucher system, though still being used out of date, is working awesomely and we have had an increase to mid month games.  Shoot twice a month for £30!!  That’s as cheap as it gets and your getting £25 worth of awesome sauce!

Gunman’s associate, FilmSim events is also now running Zombie Evacuation days and moved into LARP Viking games, so keep your eyes peeled on FB for more info on those.

Change in game format at Tudders for Mid month.
Due to the site getting smaller through the winter, the FilmSim Ops don’t work at Tudders, so we are keeping the limited ammo rules, but will be using Combat Missions regen in the field of a buddy.  The games will still be limited lives and include field pack, so all the good stuff will be in the there and so will the stories, for guys that like the role play and dressing up;)…that’s all of us yeah!!

September 22nd 1944. Day 6. Operation Market Garden. South of Grave on the Eindhoven-Nijmegen road.
At 9am a joint attack by Kamfgruppe Walther in the East and Kampfgruppe Huber in the West succeeds in cutting the allied corridor south of Nijmegen. Striking between the towns of Veghel and Uden their aim is to permanently sever XXX Corps supply route by capturing Veghel and destroying the bridges over the Zuid Wilhelms Vaart canal.

Making use of heavy fog to take the enemy by surprise the German’s initial progress is good and by early afternoon they are able to bring down fire upon the canal bridges. The elements of the 101st airborne division holding the town are hard pressed until the timely arrival of reinforcements and tanks from XXX Corp helps turn the tide. A counter attack combined with massed artillery fire breaks up the German assault and Kampfgruppe Huber is destroyed as an effective fighting force. Heavy fighting continues into the night as German pressure is maintained but by the end of the day Veghel remains firmly in allied hands.

Forced to pull back, Kampfgruppe Walther holds it position covering the road and awaits reinforcements due in the morning. It is blocking the main road by fire preventing any allied traffic from moving and causing serious delays to the allied advance. Allied vehilces are backed up for miles to the south and no supplies are making it through to the advanced elements of XXX Corp moving towards Arnhem. Aware of the potential consequences of further delays allied forces are preparing to make concerted effort to break the blockade in the morning and resume the movement of supplies North.

Events details.

In true WW2 style, this game will kick off Sat morning and run till dark, then carry on the Sunday up to 2pm.  There will be a social Friday and Saturday night.  Registration will be started on the Friday night so we can get on with it Sat morning.
Gates will be open from 1500hrs Friday so you can set your camps up.
It’s a camping event and there will be NO catering, so pack everything you need to sustain yourself for the weekend.

Also, Xmas Bashes at Tudders on the 14-15 and Eversley on the 21-22 are already sorted.  Hell comes to Toy town has gone too far, with Santa;s Sleds being knocked out by SAMs and presents showered everywhere.  Only the Santa helpers can save Christmas!!    Can everyone bring a few wrapped (empty boxes) present with them on the game days please.  Info on FB and the Gunman forum as well as booking threads.

The Build work is going mad and ever changing.  If you want to get involved in a build day/weekend then email me and ill add you to the list.

We are looking at a new date soon.  We have decided to run a few small events to get the ball rolling, so keep your eyes peeled.

Word from the front
Hi guys, so here it is, the crazy Xmas month.  We are having a few changes to try and make the whole this run smoother.  I know we have had a few major changes this year but life does that too you.  Thanks to all who have continued to support Gunman whilst the changes are happening and be assured, all will be back to normal starting from December!  If I don’t see you in the field during December, then merry xmas and a happy new year to you all.  See you all on the flip side of 2013 and into 2014.
