In conjunction with the guys at AirsoftHawaii (ASH) Pat has sent over some photos and text from Shane at Echigoya in Japan.
This is the Echigoya tuned STAR H&K UMP. This kit was released about 5 months ago, but because of the rarity, most people in Japan do not have one. According to the STAR distributor, only 100 of these kits were built with both the H&K and UMP logos on it. Any new kits being manufactured will not have the H&K or UMP logo’s on it so it can be sold on the US market.
Echigoya builds the UMP with their custom “REKKA Light” upgrade package. This package includes Angel’s 130% spring, piston head and silicon wiring. It’s a great deal at 53000 or $520 bucks!
Echigoya also builds custom guns using their “HAYATE Light” upgrade package. This basically includes a polycarbonate piston, piston head, 130%spring, oilless bushings, silicon wiring and spring guide all parts of which were made by ANGEL. ANGEL is a partner company of ECHIGOYA. Additionally Echigoya also makes there own motors which they use in some of their custom packages. The motor used in the Hayate package is a Echigoya high speed full bearing motor that can pump out anywhere from 4 to 6 bbs more per second than a stock marui motor can. The barrel that comes with the UMP kit is actually a little too small so Echigoya has changed it to a stock G36c inner barrel. Currently this gun clocks in at or around 1joule and has a ROF of 24-26 bbs/sec.
