Just time for some more news from Pat at Airsoft Hawaii for the ‘Gear Up’ news promos, and it’s quite a big one too. First up is some news from the guys at Echigoya:
Echigoya customizes the Shoei MG42:
Although it is a Shoei based gun the
internals are nothing but; to start out with the mech
box is actually similar in design to the PGC made mech
box for the TOP M249. Taking regular gears Echigoya incorporated a couple of new gear designs developed by
Phoenix. According to Echigoya using the phoenix
designed top gear will increase the life of your mech
box and relieve you from the stress of having to shim the
gear! The inner barrel is a standard PSG-1
length with a AUG hop system.
The gun is in full-auto only and is actually
a real joy to shoot! At testing the gun had a normal
AEG ROF but upgrades are available when ordering
this gun. At the moment there are 3 different types of
upgrades with little change in power (about
80-95m/s) and about the same in the rate of fire.
Ranging from 13-15BBs/sec in your normal setup to
19-22BBs/sec in your more advanced customs. The price
of the gun ranges anywhere from about $2,000-2,500
depending on which upgrade your looking for. Release
of this gun will probably not take place until next
month around the 14th of May during which Echigoya will be hosting there Battle@Union2005. So far
Echigoya is taking pre-orders, exactly how many
they`ll build or for how long they`ll build them for
is still up in the air so if your interested please

The new version of Ballistic is online over at AirsoftHawaii too. Included in this issue is: an article on Echigoya Shop in Tokyo, Tokyo Marui SIG226 Railed Version, Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa with Nineball upgrades, Carrot Type 89, details on building your own gun, an overview of Bioval BB’s
and more.
Last (but not least) there’s a new issue of Arms magazine out
