Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:
Hi, Arnies,
Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.
First off, thank you to everyone for another great weekend at Camp Bravo. The games are getting better and better supported every month now.
This weekend we are off to Tuddenham for another epic weekend of FilSim style combat! This one is another "Insurgence" themed weekend and pits the teams fighting over IED factories and explosive devices – this one is going to get hectic!
Next weekend we will be taking the same theme to our Eversley Alpha site, make sure you don’t miss it!
The weekend after that it’s back to Tuddenham and Camp Bravo for more outstanding skirmish madness!
On a more serious note, we don’t need to remind you that there is a very real risk of a major COVID-19 outbreak in the Country. None of us want to see that, or a lockdown/quarantine situation happening, so can you please ensure you are taking the necessary precautions when it comes to joining us for games at the moment. If you are displaying symptoms, or may have been in contact with someone who is, please think twice about attending and let us know.
We recommend that, unless you need rental equipment, you take advantage of the "pay on arrival" option when booking walk-on tickets for open days until it’s all over. That way, we can plan games based on expected numbers, but you won’t be left out of pocket if you can’t make it at the last minute.
We will be trying to provide extra hand sanitiser at our sites, but as you are no doubt aware, there are currently shortages due to panic buying, so if you have some of your own, please bring it and use it. Oh, and please don’t take the toilet paper out of the toilets!
On a final note, we have had to take the difficult desicion of cancelling the upcoming May Bank Holiday Weekender at Tuddenham. So far, only two places were booked and it’s now at the point where we would need to satrt investing a lot of money into preparations for such an epic weekend. With only two deposits in, we have been unable to do so and are not prepared to compromise the expected experience offered, so have been forced to cancel.
We have instead published the August Summer Bank Holiday Weekender at Hertfordshire early, to give people an opportunity to get deposits in. This event has been running for several years now, with people attending from all over Europe, we had hoped that the uptake for a second one at Tuddenham would have been better – we might consider running one next year instead. The ticket holders for the Tuddenham event have been contacted.
Futuretech Airsoft will be at every FilmSim open weekend at Eversley Alpha on both days.
We can help with many tech issues such as hot guns, new buckings etc, and happy to take guns with bigger issues or for any customising/upgrade work, all at reasonable prices. So dig out those guns you haven’t got around to fixing and bring them along. Guns taken will normally be fixed and returned at the next months game or collect from Farnborough.
